| Le Tag der Harmonica 2022 se tiendra au New Middle School City Center à Perg, en Haute-Autriche, du 16 au 19 juin 2022, organisé par le HVÖ Harmonikaverband Osterreichs (Harmonica Association of Austria). Ce 29e concours autrichien s'adresse aux solistes, duos, ensembles et orchestres d'accordéon jouant une variété de musique de concert, de musique légère, de musique de chambre et de musique du monde. Le président de HVÖ, Werner Weibert est heureux d'annoncer deux nouveaux temps forts pour la Journée de l'Harmonica 2022 comme suit : 1. Le plus grand orchestre d'accordéon fondé par le HVÖ en 2020 se produira pour la première fois dans le cadre de cette journée de l'harmonica. L'Orchestre autrichien est une initiative des membres du conseil d'administration de HVÖ Christian Höller et Johannes Münzner, qui ont appelé tous les accordéonistes d'Autriche à participer. 2. L'événement comprendra également la première édition du prix Cyril Demian, qui sera décerné dans les nouvelles classes internationales d'invités. La vidéo commence à 1:35 Programme en russe et en anglais à : 2022All-RussiaDayLa Journée panrusse du bayan, de l'accordéon et de l'harmonica est célébrée chaque année (le troisième samedi de mars) au Gnesins RAM Concert Hall à Moscou. L'événement est aussi la contribution de la Russie à la Journée mondiale de l'accordéon (World Accordion Day 6 mai) car cette date coïncide avec une fête nationale russe. Ainsi, pour cette raison, la Journée panrusse du bayan, de l'accordéon et de l'harmonica a lieu chaque année en mars. Le Département de Bayan et d'Accordéon des Gnesins RAM a créé l'événement avec le chef de projet Friedrich Lips. | Le 2e Concours international « Heinrich Band » 2022 et la VIII Masterclass internationale de bandonéon se tiendront en ligne et en personne du 24 au 27 août 2022 à Iglesias, en Italie. L'événement est organisé par l'Association culturelle Anton Stadler et l'Accademia Italiana del Bandoneón, avec la contribution de la Région autonome RAS de Sardaigne - Département de l'éducation, du patrimoine culturel, de l'information, du divertissement et des sports, la municipalité d'Iglesias - Département de la culture, Sport et Spectacle, la Fondation de Sardaigne, le Ministère de la Culture MIC et en collaboration avec l'Association Projet Ar'Tango-Bandonéon d'Avignon. Les candidatures sont ouvertes pour le tour préliminaire du concours "Heinrich Band" pour l'interprétation instrumentale au bandonéon, les participants pouvant désormais envoyer leurs vidéos. Clôture des candidatures le 24 juin 2022. Le jury est composé de Per Arne Glorvigen (Norvège), Piero di Egidio (Italie), Yvonne Hahn (Allemagne), Santiago Cimadevilla (Argentine) et Fabio Furia (Italie). Trois finalistes du concours seront choisis pour accéder au dernier concert public en direct à Iglesias le 24 août 2022 à l'occasion de la VIIIe édition de l'International Bandoneon Masterclass.   Thomas Hennig, Chairman of the Association for the Promotion of the International Accordion Competitions in Klingenthal e.V. has announced that the 59th International Accordion Competition Klingenthal 2022 has now been cancelled. The competition was due to be held online in May 2022. Organisers are now looking towards the 60th Competition in Klingenthal next year. |

| A virtual reunion over Zoom to commemorate the 10th anniversary of Frank Marocco’s passing was held on March 5. Forty-five Frank Marocco Accordion Event (FMAE) alumni and friends from the US, Canada and Italy participated in nearly 3½ hours of reminiscing and viewing videos together. A highlight of the reunion was the participation of Frank’s three daughters, Cynthia, Venetia and Lisa. Their heartwarming reactions can be summed up in a quote from an email I received from Cynthia following the reunion: “Thank you Dan so much for hosting this event . . . What a lovely community of accordion players were present. It meant so much to my sisters and myself." .....   Video: Concert series of the "Ensemble Via Nova" in the Kunsthalle Erfurt, Germany. Neza Torka and the Ensemble Via Nova gave a concert tour of Switzerland from March 31st to April 3rd, 2022. Beginning at the Kellertheater Brig on March 31st, the group’s program included 75th birthday celebrations for Max E. Keller (Swiss composer, jazz pianist and improvising musician) with works by Keller, Hoyer, Zapf, Frischknecht and Hildebrandt. Further concerts were given as follows: April 1st, at the Alter Stadthaussaal Winterthur with works by Keller, Hoyer, Zapf, Jean-Luc Darbellay and Hildebrandt. April 2nd at L ´ art pour l`Aar, French church Le Cap, Bern with works by Keller, Iranyi, Hoyer, Zapf, Hofer, Darbellay, Gut, Frischknecht, Wecks and Bovey. April 3rd at Maison 44, Steinenring 44, Basel with works by Keller, Iranyi, Gut, Hoyer, Langlotz and Hildebrandt. |

| The "Pipes and Reeds" concert featuring the South Hampshire Accordion Quintet was held on April 10th at the Thorngate Halls Ballroom in Gosport, England. Performers included Robert Stacey on the 1934 Compton theatre organ, playing popular classics and show tunes, followed by the accordion quintet playing the Glenn Miller story, Liberty Bell March, and Black and White Rag. |

| The 2022 Easter Music Seminar will be held from April 19th to 22nd, 2022 at the Federal Academy of Trossingen in Germany organised by the Akkordeonjugend Baden-Württemberg in the Deutschen Harmonika-Verband e. V. Young musicians aged from 10 to 26, who play accordion, harmonica, melodica, keyboard, piano or drums, will enjoy a program including orchestra playing, conducting, lectures and music production. Lecturers include Alexander Cargnelli (music educator), Jürgen Farkas (music educator), Sarah Hofheinz (representative of youth education) and Thomas Maier (musical instructor for percussion instruments). |

 “Los Lobos” will perform at The Fountain Stage at Regents Square Western New Mexico University in Silver City, New Mexico on April 23rd, 2022 at 6.30pm.The group includes David Hidalgo (accordion and multi instrumentalist), Louie Perez (drums, guitar & vocals), Steve Berlin (saxophone, melodica, flute, percussion), Cesar Rosas (vocals, guitar & mandolin) and Conrad Lozano (bass, guitar & vocals). The band has just won their 4th Grammy at the 64th Grammy Awards held on April 3rd this year for their album "Native Sons" in the "Best Americana Album" category. |

Le vendredi 6 mai 2022, la Journée mondiale de l'accordéon sera célébrée par une variété de conférences, de démonstrations et de concerts. Le thème de cette journée sera la célébration du brevet d'accordéon Cyril Demian. Le samedi 7 mai 2022 aura lieu le Festival Palmer annuel avec des conférences passionnantes et des concerts et démonstrations d'accordéon divertissants.
