14th International Accordion Competition & Festival “Ascoltate” 2022 – Lithuaniaby Christine Johnstone |

 The 14th International Accordion Competition & Festival “Ascoltate” (XIV Tarptautinis Akordeonistu Konkursas) will be held at the Kaunas J.Gruodis Conservatory Concert Hall in Kaunas, Lithuania from April 29th to May 1st, 2022, organised by the Lithuanian National Accordionist’s Union, Kaunas Accordion Society, Kaunas J.Gruodis Conservatory, and Kaunas Music School.Organisers have a live event planned, however, due to the Covid-19 pandemic, they also have a back-up plan for an online event if necessary. They invite everyone to participate in various ways: to compete directly in the competition, to listen to the competition performances, and to interact with colleagues from all over Lithuania and abroad. The competition jury will be composed of members and leaders of the CIA (Confédération Internationale des Accordéonistes). The values of the competition remain unchanged – fairness, attention to everyone, good spirit, and great emotions. Competition coordinators are Gražina Lukošiene, Mindaugas Labanauskas, Reda Labanauskiene and Laimonas Salijus. Entries close April 15th, 2022.
