Concert de la Journée Mondiale de l'Accordéon par MAA, Skopje - Macédoine du Nordby Anica Karakutovska |

  La Présidente de la MAA, Zorica Karakutovska écrit que "depuis le tout début en 2009, l'Association macédonienne des accordéonistes "Ljubiteli na klasichna muzika" (MAA) - Skopje a soutenu le projet international de la CIA "Journée mondiale de l'accordéon du 6 mai" (WAD) avec divers événements musicaux.Cette année, pour la 14ème fois, l'association organise un concert solennel marquant la célébration du WAD international et la célébration de l'anniversaire de l'instrument." Ci-dessus, l'affiche du concert WAD qui se tiendra dans la salle de la Philharmonie de Skopje, le 7 mai. Télécharger l'affiche : 2022Skopje.pdf Au concert de cette année, l'invité spécial Mirco Patarini (Italie, photo ci-dessous) interprétera la première de la composition "Dafino" du célèbre compositeur macédonien Bete Ilin. La composition a été spécialement composée pour cet événement et est dédiée au président de la CIA Mirco Patarini et au soutien de WAD. Bete Ilin a composé de nombreuses œuvres d'accordéon qui ont été jouées sur presque tous les continents du monde. Vidéo ci-dessus : La composition "The New Tomorrow" a eu sa première mondiale en Suisse en 2017 par Grayson Masefield, en présence de Bete Ilin, Zorica et Anica Karakutovska. "The New Tomorrow" a également été interprété par Grayson Masefield pour WAD 2017 à Skopje. (MAA) La présidente et professeure de la Faculté de musique de Skopje, Zorica Karakutovska, a également créé un certain nombre d'œuvres composées par Bete Ilin qui, en 2015, a reçu le prix CIA Honored Friend of the Accordion Award en Finlande pour ses services à l'accordéon. Un compte-rendu complet du concert du MAA 2022 mettant également en vedette de nombreux musiciens confirmés le 7 mai, sera publié dans cette circulaire. |

45ème Concours International d'Accordéon 2022 - Croatieby Christine Johnstone |
 Le 45ème Concours International d'Accordéon 2022 se tiendra en direct à la Maison de l'Armée - Dom hrvatskih branitelja, à Pula, Croatie du 24 au 27 mai 2022 sous l’égide d’ Okud Istra.Le concours comprendra une variété de catégories - soliste à partir de 9 ans et moins, basse standard, interprètes de concert, ensembles de chambre et orchestres. Les prix du concours comprennent les coupes de la ville de Pula, les prix Okud "Istra", les prix de la Société des compositeurs croates (qui iront au soliste pour la meilleure interprétation d'une composition d'un compositeur croate quelle que soit la catégorie), une variété de prix spéciaux, des diplômes et certificats de participation. | La 25ème Semaine Internationale de l'Accordéon "Alcobaça 2022" se tiendra du 21 au 29 mai 2022, organisée par l'Association d'Accordéon du Portugal (Président Aníbal Freire) en collaboration avec la Municipalité d'Alcobaça et l'Orquestra Típica e Coral de Alcobaça. L'événement comprendra le 25ème Concours National, le 6ème Concours International d'Accordéon "Ville d'Alcobaça", huit concerts, trois masterclasses et des conférences. Les classes de compétition sont disponibles pour une variété de groupes d'âge, du junior au senior pour solistes, duos, trios, quatuors, orchestres et interprètes de musique de chambre dans les catégories basse standard et basse libre. 9ème Festival International d'Accordéon Stadskanaal – Pays-Basby Christine Johnstone |

| Le 9ème Festival International d'Accordéon Stadskanaal se tiendra au Théâtre Geert Teis à Stadskanaal, Pays-Bas, le 15 mai 2022. C'est la nouvelle date du festival qui a été reporté du 6 mars, en raison de Covid-19. Le festival propose un programme varié avec des performances des accordéonistes Dantong Wang (Chine), Mathias Rugsveen (Norvège) et des Pays-Bas Jean Louis van Dam, le jeune talent Jan Timmer et Maaike Boscher à la harpe avec l'accordéoniste Gertie Bruin. L'accompagnement rythmique sera assuré par Bert van Erk (contrebasse) et Rene van Astenrode (batterie, vibraphone). Voir l'affiche pour les détails. |

| Vidéo : 5/4 Tango interprétant Astor Piazzolla - Tristezas de un doble A "5/4 Tango" présentera son nouveau programme de tango en conjonction avec le 2e Festival européen de musique à Cantus Firmus dans la salle de concert bulgare à Sofia, Bulgarie le 16 mai 2022 à 19h30. Le Festival européen de musique est soutenu par le ministère bulgare de la culture, le Fonds national de la culture et la municipalité de Sofia. "5/4 Tango" comprend Stoyan Karaivanov (bandonéon), Jovan Bogosavljevic (violon), Tsvetan Nedyalkov (guitare), Margarita Kalcheva (contrebasse) et Ludmil Angelov (piano). Le groupe sera rejoint par Marta Petkova et Nikola Hadjitanev, danseurs de la Sofia Opera and Ballet Company. Leur programme comprendra des œuvres d'Astor Piazzolla telles que "Retrato de Alfredo Gobbi", "Kicho", "Concierto para Quinteto", "Tristezas de un Doble A" et "Las cuatro estaciones porteñas". | L'accordéoniste italien Pietro Roffi fera une tournée en Afrique du Sud le mois prochain du 5 au 16 mai 2022, donnant cinq concerts à Sasolburg, Welkom, Bloemfontein, Johannesburg et Pretoria. Le Quatuor à cordes Odeion l'accompagnera dans un programme qui comprendra un nouvel arrangement des Quatre Saisons (Vivaldi), un hommage à Piazzolla et quelques-unes des propres compositions de Pietro.  Les réservations sont maintenant ouvertes pour le 2022 Swaledale Squeeze Concertina Weekend qui se tiendra à Grinton Lodge à Swaledale, Grinton, Angleterre, UK du 20 au 22 mai 2022.L'événement est un "week-end convivial de concertina, de rencontres avec des amis, d'ateliers, d'un concert, d'un ceilidh, de sessions et de promenades dans le confort de Grinton Lodge et dans un paysage fantastique". Les professeurs invités pour le Squeeze 2022 sont : - Aisling Lyons (Irlande) sur Anglo concertino - Rob Say (Northumberland) sur English concertino - Matt Quinn (Sussex) sur le duo.  Latvian accordionist Ksenija Sidorova, in a trio with Avi Avital (mandolin) and Amir Wahba (percussion), enchanted the audience of the Great Hall of the Vienna Konzerthaus on her musical journey through space and time. Avital and Sidorova dusted off the reputation of their instruments (which were only ridiculed as folklore instruments for a long time), and their repertoire with virtuosity, thus filling the historical gap in the literature of their young instruments. The special feature of their program "Between Worlds" is the extraordinary cast: Avital was the first mandolinist to be nominated for a Grammy, ECHO award winner Ksenija Sidorova is a magnificent accordionist and Amir Wahba is an internationally sought-after percussionist. Like Avi Avital, the Latvian Ksenija Sidorova is considered a versatile ambassador for her instrument. Percussionist Amir Wahba enriches the ingenious trio with his fondness for the most diverse styles of music in the world. The fascinating tightrope walk between styles and epochs, between regions and cultures, which musically lead an unexcited, harmonious coexistence, makes you dream. |

| The Folefest Ensemble, which features Paulo Jorge Ferreira (accordion) and Catherine Strynckx (cello) performed a concert to commemorate the 90th anniversary of Sofia Gubaidulina on April 22nd, 2022. The concert, which was held at the Centro Cultural de Belem in Lisbon, Portugal included a performance of “Sonata Et Expecto” (1985) with accordionist Fábio Palma, “De Profundis” 1978 with accordionist Fernando Brites and “Seven Words” (1982) for cello, accordion, and orchestra. |

 Video: Quinteto Astor Piazzolla performing works from their new album “Triunfal” at the Centro Cultural Kirchner in 2021.The Quinteto Astor Piazzolla performed a free concert at the Centro Cultural Borges in Buenos Aires, Argentina on April 22nd, 2022. The Cultural Centre (picture left) was reopened a few weeks ago by the Ministry of Culture and was named in tribute to one of Argentina's most acclaimed writers Jorge Luis Borges. It hosts art exhibitions, shows, seminars, conferences, workshops and other events, ranging from the visual arts to tango. The Quinteto, which includes Pablo Mainetti (bandoneon) performed a variety of works by Astor Piazzolla. |

| The 3rd OnePeopleOnePlanet is the multimedia marathon, of 14 hours, scheduled for April 22nd, 2022 from 8.30am to 10.30pm to celebrate the 52nd World Earth Day. The event was held live at the Auditorium della Nuvola in Fuksas, Rome, with live streaming on Rai Play and deferred on Vatican News, for a great world party to protect the Planet in which accordionist Marco Lo Russo Rouge participated. Lo Russo performed The voices of the Earth promoted by the Marco Lo Russo Music Center APS Association during the final event of the marathon. Made in Italy concerts were also broadcast, a reinterpretation of Italian music with Marco Lo Russo and other artists from around the world including from Mexico (the Duo la Boquita, with the voice of Silvia Basurto Castellanos and Paolo Uccelli on guitar) and from Argentina with double bass player Javier Claudio Nunez. The voice of the Earth also included the participation of numerous artists from Italy and the world including Giovanni Allevi, Tony Esposito, Simone Cristicchi, Licia Colò, Dargen D'Amico, Uranus, Massimiliano Ossini, Raul Bova, Marco Lo Russo, La Boquita and many others. | The Romano Viazzani Ensemble will perform "A London Tango for Europe Day" at St. John’s in Smith Square, London, England on May 8th, 2022, organised by Seeds of Italy in association with EUFM. “This concert falls right in the middle of the celebrations commemorating various European historic anniversaries. The concert takes place on VE Day (on the 8th) and between The Council of Europe’s Europe Day (on the 5th), which the United Kingdom is still a part of and the EU’s Europe Day (on the 9th) which celebrates peace and unity in Europe.” The Ensemble will play a mix of original Argentine tangos, European tangos and their own special brand of Argentine-style tango with a swinging-London twist. Joining them for a special guest appearance is the operatic tenor and BBC New Generation Artist, Alessandro Fisher. |

| The Langen-Dietzenbach 20th Anniversary Concert will be held at the New City Hall in Langen, Germany on May 14th, 2022 at 5pm, organised by the Harmonika Spielring Langen. The concert entitled “Thank you for the Music” will include a variety of music from the past 20 years such as hits from Abba, Metallica, a tango, as well as musical hits.
