 Der HVÖ Harmonikaverband Österreichs feiert seinen 70. Geburtstag mit drei großen Festkonzerten in Perchtoldsdorf bei Wien, in Saalfelden (Salzburg) und in St. Peter-Freienstein (Steiermark)! Alle sind herzlich eingeladen, mit ihnen zu feiern und die musikalischen Höhepunkte mitzuerleben und zu genießen.Drei Konzerttermine: - 14. April 2024 - Grandioses Galakonzert zum Auftakt der Feierlichkeiten in der historischen Burg Perchtoldsdorf in Wien. Mit dem Schwerpunkt Akkordeon und Akkordeonorchester werden bekannte Originalwerke aus den vergangenen Jahrzehnten von verschiedenen österreichischen Ensembles und Orchestern aufgeführt. Darüber hinaus gibt es Darbietungen auf der Steirischen Harmonika, dem Bandoneon, der Mundharmonika und der Schrammelharmonika. - 15. Juni 2024 - Jubiläumskonzert in Saalfelden, Salzburg. Bei diesem Konzert wird die Ziehharmonika in Kombination mit der Steirischen Harmonika, dem Bandoneon und der Mundharmonika sowie in Kombination mit anderen Instrumenten zu hören sein. - 12. Oktober 2024 - Abschließendes Jubiläumskonzert in St. Peter-Freienstein, Steiermark, bei dem die Steirische Harmonika im Vordergrund stehen wird. Auch Akkordeon, Bandoneon und Mundharmonika werden prominent vertreten sein. Der HVÖ bedankt sich auch im Jahr 2024 bei Werner Weibert (Bild links), der heuer sein 15-jähriges Jubiläum als Präsident des Verbandes feiert, für sein lokales und internationales Engagement. Unter seiner Präsidentschaft, unterstützt von seinen aktiven Vorstandsmitgliedern, war der HVÖ ein wichtiges Gremium für die Akkordeon- und Harmonika-Welt in Europa. Werner Weibert wurde 2018 in Finnland mit dem CIA Merit Award ausgezeichnet, der seinen herausragenden Beitrag zur internationalen Akkordeonbewegung würdigt. Der HVÖ ist seit den Anfängen stimmberechtigtes Mitglied der CIA und war 1960, 1970, 1983 und 2014 Gastgeber des Coupe Mondiale. Der HVÖ hat im Laufe seiner Geschichte viele internationale Festivals und auch internationale Wettbewerbe für die Steirische (Diatonische) Harmonika veranstaltet.  Das Weltmusikfestival 2025 findet vom 29. Mai bis 1. Juni 2025 in Innsbruck, Deutschland, statt und wird vom Deutschen Harmonika-Verband e. V. (DHV) organisiert.Das 14. Festival bietet Wettbewerbe in den Kategorien Akkordeon, Mundharmonika und Steirische Harmonika. Darüber hinaus prägen eine Vielzahl von Konzerten und ein grandioser Abend der Nationen im Congresshaus Innsbruck dieses Festival, das bis zur Covid alle drei Jahre stattfand. Wir werden weitere Informationen veröffentlichen, sobald sie verfügbar sind. |

| Die 10. Internationalen Akkordeontage in Prag 2024 werden vom 24. bis 27. Oktober 2024 in Prag, Tschechische Republik, stattfinden. Das Eröffnungskonzert am 24. Oktober findet im Saal des Prager Museums für Angewandte Kunst statt und wird von internationalen Gastkünstlern bestritten. Die Veranstaltung umfasst Junioren-, Senioren- und Orchesterwettbewerbe, Galakonzerte und endet mit einem Konzert der Preisträger. Die Anmeldefrist endet am 23. September 2024. Weitere Einzelheiten werden bekannt gegeben, sobald sie vorliegen. |

| Der 3. Premio Diano della Fisarmonica Diatonica (3. Diano-Preis für das diatonische Akkordeon) wird am 3. März 2024 im Centro Parrochiale "Piergiorgio Frassati" in Prato Perillo, Teggiano, Kampanien, Italien, stattfinden und von der International Diatonic Alliance (I.D.A.) organisiert. Die I.D.A. ist ein Verein zur sozialen und kulturellen Förderung, der 2019 in Italien von einer Gruppe junger Akkordeon-Musiker und -Lehrer gegründet wurde, mit dem Ziel, dieses Instrument zu verbreiten und Veranstaltungen von nationalem und internationalem Format in Zusammenarbeit mit Vertretern aus der ganzen Welt zu organisieren.  Was planen Sie für den Weltakkordeon-Tag, um das Akkordeon in Ihrem Land zu fördern? Der Weltakkordeon-Tag ist am 6. Mai, dem Tag, an dem das Akkordeon 1829 patentiert wurde.Der Weltakkordeon-Tag wurde 2009 von der Confédération Internationale des Accordéonistes (CIA) ins Leben gerufen und bisher sehr erfolgreich, was für das Akkordeon viel positive Resonanz brachte. Ein wichtiger Teil dieser Veranstaltung ist die Website des World Accordion Day. Jeder Verein, jede Gruppe, jedes Orchester, Performer und Lehrer wird gebeten, diese Veranstaltung aktiv zu unterstützen, indem er nationale und lokale Akkordeonaktivitäten an diesem Tag oder am Wochenende, vor oder nach demAkkordeon-Tages, falls dies besser in ein Programm passen sollte. Jeder kann seine Aktivitäten zum Weltakkordeon-Tag auf der Website registrieren und danach einen Bericht über seine Veranstaltung verfassen. Keine Veranstaltung ist zu groß oder zu klein. ALLE Akkordeonveranstaltungen zum Weltakkordeontag sind herzlich willkommen. Dies ist eine CIA - Promotion für das Akkordeon, WAD an der jeder Akkordeonliebhaber teilnehmen und helfen kann, unsere Akkordeonwelt zusammenzubringen und das Akkordeon entsprechend zu fördern. |

Tuulikki Bartosik (accordion, kannel, vocals, electronics) and Sander Mölder (keyboards, electronics).Swedish-Estonian musician Tuulikki Bartosik (accordionist, composer, singer, and multi-instrumentalist, with degrees in classical and traditional music) has been nominated in the 2024 Songlines Music Awards “Best Artist” category for her latest album “Playscapes” (Efni Records). Playscapes also received recognition as the Folktronica of the Year by Lira Musikmagasin. "The mixing of acoustic folk music with sensitive electronic embellishments is far from obvious…however, accordionist Tuulikki Bartosik's latest album is a prime example of how seamlessly two seemingly disparate expressions can blend together into something so natural." |

| The Orquesta Típica Sans Souci (Argentina) will begin their 2024 concert tour of Switzerland and Germany next month. The tour is a celebration of 25 years of tango concert tours. Dates as follows: • March 20th, 2024 – Coco Gardel in Lausanne, Vaud, Switzerland • March 22nd, 2024 - Club Argentina in Erfurt, Thuringia, Germany • March 23rd, 2024 - Tango Festival Rhein-Ruhr in Witten, North Rhine-Westphalia, Germany • March 24th, 2024 – Tango Show in Schwerin, Mecklenburg-West Pomerania, Germany • March 31st, 2024 – Oster Tango Festival in Basel, Switzerland The Orquesta Típica Sans Souci was created in 1998 in Buenos Aires, with the specific purpose of promoting (for today’s audience), the musical style of Miguel Caló and Osmar Maderna’s typical orchestras. The CD, released by Zoe Music is the soundtrack of the theatrical performance of "Golden Oars" based on the novel by well-known writer Maria Papagianni and directed by Athanasia Kalogianni. The lyrics have been written by Konstantinos Rodis and Markella Selianitou. Actors: Eleni Tzagkaraki, Nikos Anastassopoulos, Vangelis Pitsilos, Eugenia Vissariou, Christos Loizos and Madalena Papadatou. Narrations: Nikos Orfanos and Vasiliki Makri. |

 In Partnership with the UK Association of Accordion Teachers (UKAAT) the Diocese Of Leeds Music are holding a Workshop Day for accordion teachers & students on February 24th, 2024 in the Wheeler Hall at Leeds Cathedral in Leeds, England. This will be a day for open discussion, sharing resources and meeting other teachers. Participants are encouraged to bring their accordions for participation in some of the workshops. All systems of accordions welcome. Agenda for the day is: 10:00 am - 10:30 am: Coffee & registration 10:30 am - 10:45 am: Welcome - UKAAT’s aims - Introductions 10:45 am - 11:00 am: Introduction to DOLM (Diocese of Leeds Music) with Valerie Barr and Anthony Beckwith 11:00 am: The Basics - set up, repertoire & resources, different systems, challenges, sharing experiences. What to teach in the first lesson? UK-based folk accordionist Paul Hutchinson will take the specialist workshop of the day and Djordje Gajic (Royal Conservatoire of Scotland) will give a virtual presentation. |

| The 3rd Annual Accordion Extravaganza will be held at the James Hall, Powell River Academy of Music in Powell River, British Columbia, Canada on February 25th, 2024 at 2pm. Accordionist Karina Inkster will perform with Walter Martella and Terry Martyniuk for an hour of classical, jazz, and tango music on accordion, piano, and percussion. Their program will include music by Galliano, Bacalov and Piazzolla as well as "new selections, and older favourites in new arrangements." Tickets available at the door by donation. All donations go directly to the third annual Qathet Accordion Fest in May 2024. |

 Serbian accordionist Nikola Djoric who lives in Austria, will make a concert tour of Austria next month. With the sound spectrum of the accordion, Nikola Djoric explores previously unknown timbres in the repertoire from Bach to Mozart to Tchaikovsky and Piazzolla, whereby he does not create arrangements but rather maintains fidelity to the original musical text. As a soloist and chamber musician, accordionist Djoric has appeared on important concert stages, including the Musikverein Wien, the Cologne Philharmonic, the Konzerthaus Berlin, the Gasteig Munich, the Beethovenfest Bonn and others. His tour schedule will include the following concerts: March 1st - With Wiener Symphoniker at Musikverein in Vienna March 8th - Sparkassen Lounge Neunkirchen, 7.30 pm March 9th - St. Andrä im Lavanttal, Musikcafé – Live, 6.30 pm March 10th - Schloss Albeck (Albeck Castle), 11 am and at the Harmonikazentrum in Graz, 7.30 pm |

 Das London Accordion Orchestra (Bild links) wird seine 25-Jahr-Feierlichkeiten mit einem gemeinsamen Konzert "Bellows Across Borders" (Blasebalg über Grenzen hinweg) mit dem Haarlemer Akkordeonorchester (Haarlems Accordeonorkest - Niederlande - Bild unten) unter der Leitung von Leo van Lierop am 7. April 2024 um 14 Uhr im Tabernacle in Notting Hill, London, England beginnen.Das Konzert bietet ein breites Spektrum an Musik, von Bach bis hin zu Filmmusik aus Blockbustern wie König der Löwen und Jäger des verlorenen Schatzes, sowie Originalmusik für Akkordeonorchester. Es ist auch der 10. Jahrestag der LAO-Konzerte "Bellows Across Borders" (Blasebalg über Grenzen hinweg). Das erste war ein Konzert mit dem Nürnberger Akkordeonorchester am St. John's Smith Square im Jahr 2014. |
