| Das 3. Akkordeon-Frühlingsfestival wird vom 16. bis 18. Mai 2024 im Conservatorio Statale di Musica "Gaetano Braga" in Teramo, Abruzzen, Italien, stattfinden. Die künstlerischen Leiter sind Massimiliano Pitocco und Renzo Ruggieri. Juli 2024 in Powells Farm, Plaitford, Romsey, Hampshire, England, UK statt.Zu den Akkordeonisten gehören "Slim Chance" (Bild unten), eine sechsköpfige Gruppe, zu der auch der Akkordeonist Charlie Hart gehört. "3 Daft Monkeys" (Bild links) werden ebenfalls auf dem Festival auftreten. 2. "Russische Meisterschaft für Akkordeon und Bajan" - Russlandby Ivan Dyma, SaxAkkord Duo |

| Der 2. offene gesamtrussische Wettbewerb "Russische Meisterschaft für Akkordeon und Bajan" wird vom 11. bis 16. Mai 2024 in Tjumen, Russland, stattfinden. Diese jährlich stattfindende Veranstaltung wird mit Unterstützung der Wohltätigkeitsstiftung Golden Gate of Siberia, der Russischen Musikakademie Gnessin, der Confédération Internationale des Accordéonistes (CIA), der Stadtverwaltung von Tjumen, ANO Muzis und der Akkordeonfabrik und Bajanov Scandalli Rus durchgeführt. An dem Wettbewerb können Schüler von Kindermusikschulen und Kinderkunstschulen, Schüler von berufsbildenden mittleren und höheren Bildungseinrichtungen sowie professionelle Künstler aus Russland und anderen Ländern teilnehmen.  Was planen Sie für den Weltakkordeon-Tag, um das Akkordeon in Ihrem Land zu fördern? Der Weltakkordeon-Tag ist am 6. Mai, dem Tag, an dem das Akkordeon 1829 patentiert wurde.Der Weltakkordeon-Tag wurde 2009 von der Confédération Internationale des Accordéonistes (CIA) ins Leben gerufen und bisher sehr erfolgreich, was für das Akkordeon viel positive Resonanz brachte. Ein wichtiger Teil dieser Veranstaltung ist die Website des World Accordion Day. Jeder Verein, jede Gruppe, jedes Orchester, Performer und Lehrer wird gebeten, diese Veranstaltung aktiv zu unterstützen, indem er nationale und lokale Akkordeonaktivitäten an diesem Tag oder am Wochenende, vor oder nach demAkkordeon-Tages, falls dies besser in ein Programm passen sollte. Jeder kann seine Aktivitäten zum Weltakkordeon-Tag auf der Website registrieren und danach einen Bericht über seine Veranstaltung verfassen. Keine Veranstaltung ist zu groß oder zu klein. ALLE Akkordeonveranstaltungen zum Weltakkordeontag sind herzlich willkommen. Dies ist eine CIA - Promotion für das Akkordeon, WAD an der jeder Akkordeonliebhaber teilnehmen und helfen kann, unsere Akkordeonwelt zusammenzubringen und das Akkordeon entsprechend zu fördern. |

| Der Weltakkordeontag 2024 und das Dr. Willard A. Palmer Festival werden vom 2. bis 5. Mai 2024 im Harrington Arts Centre in Superior, Wisconsin, USA, stattfinden. Die Veranstaltung beginnt mit einem Gratiskonzert für Familien von Jane Christison und schließt ein Festessen ein. Die Feierlichkeiten zum Weltakkordeontag umfassen eine besondere Begrüßung durch Kevin Friedrich, Botschafter der CIA, eine Fragerunde mit Helmi Harrington, Ph.D., Gründerin und Kuratorin der AWA, und eine Begrüßung durch Bürgermeister Jim Paine. Die Preisträger der Veranstaltung sind: George Curletto, Willard A. Palmer III und Joan C. Sommers. Die Veranstaltungen werden fortgesetzt mit einem Besuch der Museumssammlungen, der Weltpremiere des von ATG gesponserten Dokumentarfilms "A World of Accordions . . a Harrington Legacy", einer Aufführung der Chicagoland Accordion Academy (unter der Leitung von Mary Ann Covone), einem Workshop von Joan Cochran Sommers zum Thema "What should we learn between Book 3 and Book 10? Norman Seaton, Sharon Seaton, Alex, Johnny Young, A packed house of conventioneers and members of the community gathered at the National Accordion Association convention in Lewisville, Texas on March 22nd, 2024, to celebrate internationally renowned virtuoso Alex Meixner as he was presented with the Happy Music Ambassador recognition award. Happy Music Center President, Johnny Young, together with NAA president Norman Seaton and NAA board member Sharon Seaton, presented Meixner with the Happy Music Ambassador trophy and plaque, honoring his dedication and commitment to music, happiness and community. “This recognition award symbolizes appreciation for those with an unwavering commitment and dedication to creating, performing, teaching, and advocating as a catalyst for positive change through the universal language of music,” said Sharon Seaton. Johnny Young said, “Your unyielding dedication and passion for music have created a lasting impact, resonating not only within your community but also reaching far beyond. Your musical contributions have bestowed joy, positivity, and kindness upon the lives of many, serving as a poignant reminder of the transformative influence inherent in melodies and harmonies.” After the presentation, Meixner took the standing room only crowd through a musical journey showcasing the many varied styles and influences that helped shape his musical vision, set against the backdrop of a powerful Texas thunderstorm brewing outside. The Happy Music Ambassadors program proudly acknowledges and celebrates individuals who epitomize the spirit of happiness and inspire others through their musical pursuits.   The Quetschn Parade will be held at the Hall of the Municipality of Fladnitz in Fladnitz an der Teichalm, Weiz, Styria, Austria on May 4th, 2024, from 9am to 9pm, organised by the Quetschn Academy.The event will feature live music performances and one of the largest accordion exhibitions in Austria with over 70 different models that are available for visitors to try. Manufacturers will be on hand to answer questions and give support. The Quetschn Academy will be on site to assist with anyone wanting to learn the Styrian harmonica instrument. The event finale will feature a concert by “Die Wuzis” which includes accordionist Thomas Holzer (picture above right) and a raffle with a prize of a Styrian harmonica. Admission is free of charge. |

| The Amalgalis Duo (Poland) of Ewa Grabowska-Lis & Daniel Lis will perform a concert and hold a masterclass in Italy from April 8th, 2024. The concert will take place at the Auditorium del Carmine in Parma, Emilia-Romagna, Italy on April 8th at 6pm. Their program will include works by Vivaldi, Fauré, Krzanowski, J.S. Bach, Dowlasz, Franck, Piazzolla, Iturralde and Karlov. Admission is free of charge. | The Bachtopus Accordion Ensemble will perform a free concert at the Third Street Music School in New York City, USA on April 11th, 2024 at 7pm. Their program will include old and new music by J.S. Bach, Peter Flint, Conrad Cummings, Amy Denio, Guy Klucevsek, Nathan Koci, Giovanni Valentini, and more. The hour-long program of music will span 400 years, both written for and adapted to the accordion, and it “promises to be an engaging night of wide-ranging music”. |
