 On May 6, World Accordion Day was celebrated with a premiere in the Republic of Moldova. The event was held in a most prestigious concert hall of mun, Chisinau (capital) - "Organ Hall" where the most talented accordion players, ensembles and orchestras from all institutions of Moldova participated. As guests for this 6th May World Accordion Day were the Ensemble "Concertino"(Moldova), winners of 12 internationals competitions. An additional guest artist was well-known accordionist Maria Vlasova (Russia), winner of international competitions, who turned this special event into a big celebration for all accordion amateurs and professionals of the whole republic, in order to popularize the accordion in its different genres of music, such as baroque, classic, jazz, world, modern, techno and folk music.
