The “Accordiomania 2023” International Accordion Festival will be held in Pleven, Bulgaria from June 29th to July 2nd, 2023. The event will include an International Accordion Competition, a National Competition, concerts, workshops and Masterclasses. The international accordion competition "Accordeomania" will include 12 categories, divided into four sections: classical, chamber, virtuoso and entertaining music. The national accordion competition "Accordeomania" will be held in two age groups for soloists: classics and folklore. An international jury from Lithuania, Moldova, Serbia, Montenegro, Bulgaria, Germany, and Bosnia and Herzegovina will evaluate the participants in the competitions. Master classes will be held by international accordionists Radu Ratoi (Moldova - picture above right) and Raimondas Sviackevicius (Lithuania - picture above left). A new “Workshop Zone” will take place with recognized performers and specialists: • Raimondas Sviackevicius (Lithuania) - Head of Department and Accordion Lecturer at the Lithuanian Academy of Music and Theatre; • Radu Ratoi (Moldova) – concert performer, graduated with a Master's degree in Music, accordion at the Royal Danish Academy of Music; • Vladimir Mandic (Serbia) – accordion teacher at the Dr. Miloje Milojevic Music School - Kragujevac, Serbia; • Victor Melnik (Bulgaria) - famous for his mastery in Europe, lecturer on topics of development, device, repair and maintenance of the accordion. A final gala concert will be held by winners of the National and International Competition "Accordeomania" who will present the accordion in different genres of musical art.
