Wir laden Sie ein, die WAD-Seite 2022 Berichte aufzurufen und sich alle Aktivitäten und die Links zu Online-Konzerten und Festivalveranstaltungen anzusehen. | Das 23. internationale Festival "Duchi d'Acquaviva" findet vom 8. bis 28. August 2022 in Atri, Teramo, Abruzzen, Italien, statt. Es wird von der Vereinigung "Amici della Musica 2000" organisiert und von der Stadt Atri, der Provinz Teramo, der Region Abruzzen und der Stiftung Tercas unterstützt. Das Festival bietet klassische Musikkonzerte von Schülern und ihren Lehrern sowie Meisterkurse für etwa 150 Schüler, die eine Vielzahl von Instrumenten spielen. Ein Bandoneon-Meisterkurs wird vom 8. bis 10. August 2022 von Gianni Iorio abgehalten.  Das Chester Folk Festival findet vom 27. bis 29. Mai 2022 in dem Dorf Kelsall, Chester, England, statt.Das Festival umfasst eine Vielzahl von Konzerten, Ceilidhs, Musik- und Gesangssitzungen, Tanzveranstaltungen, Folk-Clubs und Workshops. Zu den Akkordeonisten gehören "Granny's Attic" (Cohen Braithwaite-Kilcoyne auf Melodeon und Konzertina), "Melrose Quartet" (Richard Arrowsmith auf Melodeon - im Bild 2. von rechts) und "Albireo" (Howard Jones auf Melodeon und Konzertina). North Shore Akkordeon Orchester Wiedervereinigung 50 Jahre - Neuseelandby Christine Johnstone |
  Video: Veröffentlicht zum Weltakkordeontag (WAD) 2022.North Shore Accordion Orchestra Inc. feiert sein 50-jähriges Bestehen mit einem Reunion-Video, in dem ehemalige Spieler aus aller Welt mit der Originalaufnahme im Hintergrund mitspielen. Vielen Dank an Gary Daverne ONZM für dieses Arrangement von Swingin Safari von Bert Kamfert und an den Toningenieur Grayson Masefield. Neben den Originalmitgliedern, deren Kinder ebenfalls in diesen Orchestern spielten, sind auch Christine Johnstone, Herausgeberin von Accordions Worldwide, und Harley Jones, Gründer von Accordion Worldwide, zu hören. Das North Shore Accordion Orchestra unternahm sechs große internationale Tourneen nach Europa, Nordamerika und Asien, darunter auch die erste Akkordeonorchester-Tournee nach China, bei der es viele stehende Ovationen für seine Konzerte erhielt. | The ASPUŠ Bratislava 2022 Accordion Festival & Competition will be held in the Concert Hall of the Academy of Performing Arts in Bratislava, Slovakia from May 19th to 21st, 2022, organised by the ZAS - Association of Accordionists of Slovakia. The festival will include a competition as well as a variety of concerts, masterclasses and seminars. Master classes will be held by Ana Šterpin Zagoranski, Maciej Frackiewicz and Snežana Vlastic–Grbic As part of the festival, a Seminar and concert to celebrate the 50th anniversary of accordion education in Slovakia, will be held at the Concert Hall of the Academy of Performing Arts on May 20th, 2022. | The Ist All-Russian Bayan & Accordion Competition "Cup of Russia" will be held in Vologda, Russia from June 1st to 15th, 2022 as an online competition due to the Covid-19 pandemic. Timeline of competition as follows: • June 1st, 2022: Grand opening of the Competition (online). • June 1st to June 14th, 2022: The jury will view the entry videos. • June 1st to June 14th, 2022: Master class, concert by Laureates of All-Russian and International competitions, Alexander Komelkov and Denis Koptelov • June 15th, 2022: Closing ceremony of the Competition. Competition results, and Gala concert based on video recordings of competition winners. The competition will include age group categories for soloists, ensembles, orchestras, students of children's music schools and children's art schools, secondary specialized educational institutions, and a teachers category. | The accordion as a young instrument on the international concert stage first aroused the curiosity and interest of contemporary composers, who are always on the lookout for new sounds, and has now also conquered concert audiences. This applies in particular to the Polish-Serbian “Duo Aliada”, which is known for its creative adaptations of the classical repertoire (including Bach's "Goldberg Variations"). Polish saxophonist Michal Knot and Serbian accordionist Bogdan Laketic formed the duo in 2013 in Vienna, a city whose rich musical tradition reflects its role as a crossroads between Eastern and Western Europe. On April 30th, 2022 the duo performed in the Grand Hall of the Wiener Musikverein in Vienna, Austria. Together with the Vienna Jeunesse Orchestra, “The Ancient Night” for saxophone, accordion and orchestra by the young Polish composer Wojciech Chalupka, was premiered. This work tells in fantastic sounds of nocturnal pagan rituals in Slavic countries, the artistic home of the duo: a concerto for accordion and saxophone perfectly embedded in Schubert's "Magic Harp" overture, the mysterious "Unfinished" and Stravinsky's music from the fairytale ballet "The Fairy's Kiss". | A Tribute Concert for Galway accordionist, Joe Burke (11th April, 1939 to 20th February, 2021) was held at Kings Place (a hub for music, art, dialogue and food) in London’s Kings Cross, England on May 4th, 2022, organised by Irish Music & Dance in London (IMDL). Performers included Joe’s wife, Anne Conroy Burke (accordion), Eileen O’Brien (fiddle), Deirdre McSherry (flute/ piano) and Mary Conroy (guitar/ vocal); John Bowe (accordion) and Mick O’Connor (banjo); Andy Martyn (accordion), Seánín McDonagh (accordion), James Carty (fiddle) and others. |

| The online 2nd Accordion Star International 2022 Competition will be held online from May 17th to 22nd, 2022. The purpose of the festival is to promote and develop the performing arts, popularize the accordion as a concert musical instrument, as well as acquire new connections and open unlimited opportunities in a global wide circle of accordion lovers. The international jury will include leading world-class performers, teachers, composers, conductors, producers from the USA, Canada, China, Russia, Ukraine, Belarus, Serbia, Bulgaria, Bosnia and Hercegovina, Kazakhstan, Italy, Austria, Germany, Sweden, Scotland, France, Spain, Israel, Macedonia, Albania, Iran, South Africa and more. The jury will name the winners in 14 categories of different genres and age groups. The competition program will include new categories such as "Astor Piazzolla Music Award", "Accordion Star 37+” with no age limit for Amateurs and Professionals. | The Asociación Musical de Acordeonistas "El Sámbano" has announced the following accordion activities will be held in Ponferrada, León, Spain this month. • May 6th to July 6th: Exhibition entitled “Free Reed Instruments” will be held at the Luis del Olmo Radio Museum. • May 6th: A Celebration of a Musical Gala was held at the Fábrica de la Luz Energy Museum, in recognition of the miners who were accordionists and are the basis of tradition and teaching of the accordion in our towns. A video specially made for this gala was projected, and various accordion groups participated. See poster below. • May 7th: 5th Aris del Puerto Accordion Performance Competition for Accordion Studies. There are 53 confirmed participants from all over Spain and 85 accordionists of all ages will participate in varieté and concert accordion categories. See poster above. • May 7th: Premiere of a work commissioned to Israel López Estelche for accordion and string quartet (2 violins, viola and cello). The accordion soloist is David García Serrano, Professor of accordion at the "Cristobal Haflter" Professional Conservatory of Music in Ponferrada, and the soloists of the Ponferrada Classical Camerata directed by Daniel Bombín Val. • May 8th: Concert by Jesus Peñaranda, in the street, in front of the Luis del Olmo Radio Museum. |

| Black Pencil (which includes accordionist Marko Kassl) will perform at a special “Day of Ancient Music” event which will feature ancient music from seven hundred to three hundred years ago at the Kunstlinie Culrutal Centre in Almere, Netherlands, organised by Goede Rede Concerts. The event will include an entire afternoon full of short concerts, workshops, and beautiful stories on this theme on May 14th, 2022 from 12 midday to 5pm.  Online: The final Accordionists & Teachers Guild, International (ATG) online Wednesday Workshop for the 2022 season will feature “Hand Health for Accordionists” by Dr. Angela Natoli DC, DACNB on May 25th, 2022.This workshop is important because many accordionists have arthritis, carpal tunnel syndrome, and a myriad ofother hand issues that can affect their playing. Consequently, and appropriately, Dr. Angela will walk through each of these many hand-related issues that apply to accordionists and give very important advice on how to prevent or treat these issues with exercises, stretches, and other tools that can greatly improve the way your body deals with each of these situations. Regeln und weitere Informationen auf Italienisch unter: 2022CastelfidardoDie Stadtverwaltung von Castelfidardo (Region Marken, Italien) organisiert in Zusammenarbeit mit dem Fremdenverkehrsverband Castelfidardo Pro Loco den internationalen PIF-Wettbewerb "Città di Castelfidardo" für Akkordeon-Solisten und -Gruppen, sowohl der klassischen Musik als auch anderer Genres. Die Gemeindeverwaltung von Castelfidardo wird von Bürgermeister Roberto Ascani geleitet, der Verein Castelfidardo Pro Loco von Ruben Cittadini, und der künstlerische Leiter des PIF ist seit 2021 Antonio Spaccarotella.
