| The final of the Norvegian DNB National Solo Contest was organized at Gomerhuset in connection with Fjord Cadenza 2018. Some of the biggest talent in Norway were gathered to compete for big cash prizes from DNB and soloist assignments at next year's festival. The solo competition has gained national and international recognition, and for many has proved to be a springboard for participants to move on to the next stage of their career. The level of the final of the year was sky-high, and the span width was great in connection with the performance in Gomerhuset, Skodje laurdag. Mathias Rugsveen is a student of Friedrich Lips‘ summer workshops in Austria.
