| A new tutor book has recently been published, ‘Methode D’Accordeon M.I.D.I. Volume 1’, by Jean-Louis Noton and Manu Maugain. The authors are experts at using MIDI with accordion, and explain with examples how to use sounds, tempos and rhythms with the accordion. The book contains many arrangements for MIDI accordion, of various degrees of difficulty, and includes a CD featuring all those arrangements. The arrangements include unusual settings of such pieces as ‘When the Saints’ – in techno rhythm, ‘El Condor Pasa’ – with a funky sound, a reggae version of ‘Ave Maria’ (Gounod), and disco version of ‘Marche Americain’.
