 Hands Up for Trad have announced the 2016 Scottish Traditional Music Hall of Fame inductees, one of whom is the well-known and much admired accordionist, composer and bandleader Iain MacPhail. His award is for ‘Services to Performance’. Another recipient is Gordon Connell, whose ‘Services to Community’ award is for very successfully teaching the accordion since 1970 on the Hebridean island of Tiree. The inductees and their families will be present at a Scottish Traditional Music Hall of Fame Dinner on November 11th in the Marryat Hall, (part of Caird Hall), Dundee, Scotland. |
