  Die Confédération Internationale des Accordéonistes (CIA) 67. Coupe Mondiale freut sich schon auf den Event ab Dienstag, 27. October bis 2. November 2014 der vom Harmonikaverband Österreichs (HVO veanstaltet wird. CIA Präsident Raymond Bodell (links) und Präsident Werner Weibert HVO (rechts) laden Sie herzlich ein, den 2014 Coupe Mondiale im schönen Salzburg, Österreich im hervorrangenden Salzburg Congress Center (Bild unten) zu besuchen. Die Veranstaltung verspricht wunderbare Musik und Wettkämpfe auf höchster Ebene mit über 190 Anmeldungen aus 28 Ländern aus aller Welt. Für diejenigen, die nicht teilnehmen köennen, offeriert die www.CoupeMondiale.org Website Tagesberichte mit Bildern, wobei Informationen mit Videos aller Teilnehmer auf der Website CoupeMondiale.org nur wenige Minuten nach ihrer Darbietung online gestellt werden. Ein großer Teil des Coupe Mondiale’s wird in 2 oder 3 Wettbewerbshallen zugleich laufen und deren Videos sowie Bilder und vollständige Informationen über die Musikprogramme gibt es online. Der Deschamps-Kanal wird auch für die gesamte Veranstaltung darbieten. Die Abende bieten wunderbare Musik mit österreichischen Akkordeonisten und ein Abschlusskonzert am Samstagabend mit dem Weltakkordeonorchester VIII und allen Coupe Mondiale Kategoriesiegern.  Ein vollständiger Bericht, Bilder und Video unter: 2014Qingdao Was wohl das weltweit erste nationale Akkordeonfestival für Senioren ist, wurde in Qingdao, einer Großstadt im Osten Chinas durchgeführt. Akkordeonisten kamen aus ganz China zu dieser gut besuchten Veranstaltung. Die Art der Musik aufgeführt wurde, war allgemein ganz anders als in herkömmlichen Wettbewerb-Festivals für junge Leute. Es war eine Menge patriotischer Musik und Lieder / Melodien zu hören, die vor 20-30 Jahren sehr populär waren. Sogar konkurrierende Solisten spielten eher Musik mit Melodien, in den vergangenen Jahren bei Wettbewerbe beliebt waren. Der Schwerpunkt lag auf Spaß, schön musikalischer Darbietungen und die Juroren auch dazu beigetrugen, die lustige Atmosphäre lebendig mit positiven Kommentaren und einer glücklichen Laune zu untermalen. Die Vielfalt der Instrumente, Volksorchester, Gesang solo, Gruppen, Chöre und Tanz mit Akkordeon war auch ein Merkmal der Veranstaltung mit Gruppen und Vereinen, die oft viele Kombinationen von Instrumenten und Stimmen mit Akkordeon präsentierten. Der Erfolg der Veranstaltung und der starken Unterstützung der Teilnehmer bedeutet, dass ein 2015-National Akkordeon-Festival für Senioren bereits fix geplant ist.  Sean Montgomery, Roland V-Accordion Europa Product Manager (Bild rechts) schreibt: ". Roland freut sich bekannt zu geben, dass es eine 'Version 2' System-Update für ihr Flaggschiff-FR-8X V-Accordion gibt. Dieses kostenlose Upgrade verfügt über viele neue Verbesserungen und Erweiterungen, um das FR-8X in jeder musikalischen Situation noch vielseitiger zu machen. Basierend auf Benutzer-Feedbacks, basieren die neuen Features auf Trommel und Orchester Parameter, verbesserte Steuerung von Audio-Dateien, mehr Funktionalität und neue Looper Orchestral Chord "Voicing"-Funktionen. Die Version 2 Update wird offiziell von Uwe Steger in einem eigenen Workshop am Samstag den 1. November als Teil des 67. Coupe Mondiale in Salzburg, Österreich, vorgestellt. Roland hat vor kurzem angekündigt, eine Produktionsvereinbarung mit Fatar Srl, abgeschlossen zu haben, welche die Produktion des V-Accordion Bereichs in Italien versichert. Einige engagiertes Mitarbeiter des ehemaligen Roland Teams sind in der Firma Fatar srl stationiert, die zusammen mit der Firma Fatar, weltbekannt für ihre Handwerkskunst und Qualitätsstandards, sicherstellen, dass Roland für ihren Standard auch weiterhin garantiert und und sich für eine Weiterentwicklung der spezialisierten Roland V-Accordion-Modelle einsetzt. Akkordeonorchester Hof feiert 30. Geburtstags-Jubiläumskonzert - Deutschlandby Kevin Friedrich |

 Das Akkordeonorchester Hof (Hof Akkordeon-Orchester) präsentierte ihr 30. Jahrestags-Konzert am Sonntag, 19. Oktober 2014 ihrem Publikum in der neu renovierten Freiheitshalle in Hof, Deutschland. Die Jubiläumsfeier der Hofer Symphoniker Musikschule präsentierte das Akkordeon-Ensembles der Musikschule einschließlich des Akkordeonorchesters Hof unter der Leitung von Torsten Petzold (Bild links), das Schülerakkordeonorchester (Jugend Akkordeon Orchester) von Florian Weichert, den Hobbyakkordeonisten (Hobby-Akkordeon Orchester) von Bernd Rosenberger und das Jubilee Akkordeon-Orchester, zu dem ehemalige Mitglieder der Gruppe eingeladen wurden, um aktuelle Mitglieder in ihrer Vorstellung geleitet von Torsten Petzold, zu unterstützen. Gegründet im Jahr 1984, unternahm das Orchester zusätzlich zu Aufführungen in ganz Europa und in ihrer Heimatstadt Hof, auch zahlreiche internationalen Konzertreisen nach Südafrika, Japan, China, Réunion Island, Australien, Neuseeland, Fidschi, sowie mehrfache Reisen in die USA. Unter der Leitung von Torsten Petzold, erreichte das Orchester vor kurzem den 5. Platz bei dem Internationalen World Music Festival Akkordeon-Orchester Wettbewerb in Innsbruck, Österreich. Das Akkordeonorchester Hof bereitet sich nun auf ihre nächste Internationale Tour im April 2015 vor, wo sie in die Réunion und Mauritius auftreten werden. |

| Der bekannten chinesische Lehrer Prof. Chen Yiming, der Shan Dong Normal University, der Stadt Jinan hat ein Gedicht über "Unser China Akkordeon Traum" und die Entwicklung des Akkordeons in China geschrieben. Das Gedicht wurde zuerst an der Qingdao-National Akkordeon-Festival für Senioren Eröffnungskonzert am 18. Oktober 2014 veröffentlicht.  Picture above: Grayson Masefield, Frederic Deschamps and Guillaume Fric.In Onet le Chateau, Rodez, France, Guillaume Fric has organized exceptional days of international accordion music. Attendees are from China, Chile, New Zealand, Russia and France. Daily Master classes with Frederic Deschamps have been given in the prestigious venue La Baleine. On the Monday evening, an arrival dinner of regional food was hosted by organizer Guillaume Fric. On Tuesday evening a Bal Musette, was held in the hotel, with many students in the Master Classes taking turns to perform, whilst others learnt the dances of the area. The culmination of the 4 days work is the Thursday evening concert featuring Grayson Masefield, Elsa Gourdy, Guillaume Fric, Jeremie Buirette, Romain Dupruis and Vitaly Kondratenko. |

 On 21st October, the Shanghai Childrens Palace hosted a concert featuring some of their accordion students and the two players from Shanghai who are representing China at the 2014 Coupe Mondiale in the Virtuoso Entertainment Category. Pictures below.The President of the Shanghai Accordion Association Crystal Wang opened the concert and the Shanghai Childrens Palace accordion tutor Wan Yi Zhong introduced the Shanghai Alliance of Accordion Group and the international contestants Sarah Wang Jie and Huang Meng Yao. Picture and videos of this concert is at: Shanghai21 On 24th October, Shanghai Normal University (SHNU) student Jessica Shi Xuan (poster right) performed her graduation concert at the SHNU University to a packed hall with a lot of extra seats were required.  13 year old Alexandra Reekie and her father Lionel Reekie were honored to receive separate awards at the New Zealand Variety Artists’ Benny Awards in a Gala event at The Crowne Plaza Auckland on October 12th. Lionel received the award for “Top Male Artist” and Alexandra, the “Rising Star Award”. Lionel was a recipient of the Rising Star Award himself in 1991 as an 18 year old, so it was a very special thrill that his daughter has also received the award, and that they were both honored with awards on the same night - an unusual event and perhaps a first for the Variety Artists. Alexandra started learning piano and accordion at a very early age and recently passed her Grade 8 Trinity College (London) piano examination with merit. Lionel is a singer/musician who performs in New Zealand and overseas and his wife, Elena is a piano teacher and dancer, so it is not unexpected that music has always formed a very big part of Alexandra’s life. Alexandra has been a regular competitor in local and national accordion competitions and has won both New Zealand and Australian titles. She is a pupil of Northcote Intermediate School and plays in her school’s rock and jazz bands, as well as being a member of both school representative basketball and netball teams. She is also a keen ballet dancer and a rhythmic gymnast. In 2013, Alexandra competed in the American Accordionists’ Association (AAA) USA national competitions in New York City and she will be the New Zealand representative at the Coupe Mondiale World Accordion Championships in Salzburg, Austria, later this month, competing in the Junior Virtuoso Entertainment category. |

 Final preparations for the “Timbre Russian Accordions Group" of Moscow tour are now happening. It is a very sad point that the bass player Michail Dmitrokopulo died this spring of cancer and therefore, the Timbres have a new bass player, Maksim Tkachev.  The Arcadia Library Foundation presents an evening of "dazzling virtuosity by Nick Ariondo" at 7 pm, Wednesday 19th November 2014.Accordionist / composer Nick Ariondo is performing original compositions and arrangements from Baroque to Jazz/Tango to Contemporary as a soloist and sometimes with guest artist Larry Hughes (clarinet and soprano sax). The concert will include a new rendition of Artie Shaw's Clarinet Concerto for clarinet & accordion.
