  Das XXV Kokkolan Winter Accordion Festival 2023 fand vom 10. bis 18. Februar 2023 in Kokkola, Zentralösterbotten, Finnland statt. Festivalprogramm herunterladen: 2023KokkolaFest.pdf Bilder unter: 2023KokkolaGalerieAktuelle Informationen zu den Konzerten des Winter-Akkordeon-Festivals von Raimo Vertainen (Bild rechts), dem künstlerischen Leiter des Festivals seit dessen Beginn: Da das Festival in diesem Jahr sein 25-jähriges Bestehen feiert, haben das Zentral-Pohjanmaa Kammerorchester und Solisten in der vergangenen Woche im Kaustinen Folk Arts Center Konzerte aufgenommen. "Dies ist eine historische Woche, denn das Ergebnis ist die erste CD in unserem Land, auf der ausschließlich Akkordeonkonzerte finnischer Komponisten aufgenommen wurden." Alle aufgenommenen Konzerte sind Auftragswerke des Kokkola Winter Accordion Festivals: Aulis Sallinens Duo Concertante (Solisten Sonja Vertainen und Janne Valkeajoki), Brother Kujala Shape-Shifter (Solist Petteri Waris) und Minna Leinonen Vyöry (Solist Antti Leinonen). | Video: Die 14. Ausgabe des Orpheus Award 2023 (Kritikerpreis für Akkordeonproduktionen und die gesamte Familie der Zungeninstrumente) wurde am 19. März 2023 verliehen. Die Veranstaltung wird von der Vereinigung Promozione Arte organisiert: Gerlando Gatto (Künstlerischer Leiter) Renzo Ruggieri (APA-Präsident) Giuseppe Di Falco (Sekretär) Andrea Di Giacomo (Sekretär) Der Preis umfasst drei Kategorien: Klassik, Jazz und Welt. Die Ergebnisse: Jazz: Simone Zanchini und Gabriele Mirabassi mit "The Cat and the Fox" Egea Records. Klassisch: Marco Gemelli mit "El Tiburon" Ars Spoletium Publishing & Recording Welt/Populär: Flaviano Braga und Simone Mauri mit "Ma per" von Caligola Records. Karriere-Auszeichnung: Wolmer Beltrami. Der am 23. Mai 1922 in Breda Cisoni geborene Wunderknabe hatte bereits mit 16 Jahren sein eigenes Orchester, mit dem er viele Monate lang in großen Hotels auftrat. 1947 wurde das berühmte Duo Kramer-Beltrami gegründet, und mit dem Aufkommen des Fernsehens in Italien gründete er das Trio mit den Schwestern Luisa und Leda, mit denen er in den 1950er Jahren durch den Nahen Osten tourte. 1960 erhielt er eine wichtige Auszeichnung: den "Welt-Oscar für Akkordeon". Als außergewöhnlicher Virtuose ist Beltrami zu Recht auch als einfallsreicher Komponist in Erinnerung geblieben: "Il Treno", "Carovana negra", "Squadrone bianco". |

 Stas Venglevski wird am 27. März 2023 um 19.00 Uhr in der Schwan Concert Hall, Wisconsin Lutheran College in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, USA, ein Konzert geben, organisiert von Frankly Music. Diese Veranstaltung findet im Rahmen der Wisconsin Lutheran Concert Series statt.Stas wird zusammen mit Frank Almond (Violine) und Roza Borisova (Cello) ein Programm mit Tangos, Walzern, Musik von J.S. Bach, Astor Piazzolla, Mariano Mores, Ernesto Lequona, Juan de Dios Filiberto und mehr präsentieren. |

  Das 2023 Accordéons-nous.org Festival wird vom 19. bis 23. April in Mons, Belgien, stattfinden. Die Veranstaltung umfasst den 5. internationalen und nationalen Wettbewerb, eine Ausstellung von Akkordeonutensilien, die Willy Staquet (Akkordeonist aus Montois) gehörten, sowie eine Reihe von Konzerten wie folgt- 19. April um 20.30 Uhr: Eröffnungskonzert des Duo Argos (Bild oben links), bestehend aus Julien Beautemps (Akkordeon - Frankreich) und Sotiris Athanasiou (klassische Gitarre - Griechenland) im La Maison Losseau in Mons. Das Duo wird ein "kosmopolitisches Repertoire von George Gershwin bis Fazil Say, über Radamés Gnattali" spielen. - 20. April um 20.30 Uhr: Geir Draugsvoll (Dänemark) im La Maison Losseau in Mons. - 21. April um 12 Uhr mittags: Roman Puneiko (Ukraine) im Arts 2, Mons. - 21. April um 20.30 Uhr: Salvatore Pace und Alessandro Gaudio (Bild oben rechts) "Viva Italia" Konzert im Plaza-Art, Mons. - 22. April um 12 Uhr mittags: Michel Stockhem (Belgien) auf der Plaza-Art, Mons. - 22. April um 20 Uhr: Konzert des Prix Accordéons-nous 2023 im Arts 2, Mons. - 23. April um 12 Uhr mittags: Loris Douyez (Belgien) im Arts 2, Mons. - 23. April um 17.30 Uhr: Abschlusskonzert mit dem Orchester "Accordéons-nous" (Bild unten) und "Accordiola St. Vith". Video starts at 0:14:50 The All-Russian Day of Bayan, Accordion and Harmonica is also Russia's contribution to World Accordion Day (May 6th) because that date clashes with a Russian National Holiday, so for that reason, the All-Russian Day of Bayan, Accordion and Harmonica is held in March annually. The Department of the Bayan and Accordion of the Gnesins RAM established the event with project manager, Friedrich Lips. The aim of the event is to become part of a national cultural project. |

| Tickets are almost sold out for The Shands Family Show, due to be held at the Dumfries Baptist Church Centre in Dumfries, Scotland on April 8th, 2023 at 7.30pm. All proceeds from the show will be going to two great charities: Prostate Buddies D & G and Breast Cancer Support. The Shand family, who played recently for the King when he bestowed City status on Dunfermline, will be joined by Gordon Smith (drums) plus a variety of local talent. See poster above for details. |

 The 2023 Tomball German Heritage Fest will be held daily from March 24th to 26th in Tomball, Texas, USA.Accordion entertainers include the Alex Meixner Band, Chris Rybak Band (picture left), and Matt Tolentino. Auckland accordionist, Tracey Collins will entertain over 1,000 people at the “One Day in Provence” long lunch event at The Cloud in Auckland, New Zealand on March 25th, 2023. The event is organised by a trio of Frenchies who are keen to celebrate the end of summer in New Zealand in style. The dress code is Pink & White – see 2022 picture above. Last weekend Tracey performed a variety of Irish tunes at Florrie McGreal’s Irish Pub in Takapuna, Auckland to celebrate St Patricks Day on March 17th. The following day (March 18th), Tracey took part in the Takapuna St Patrick's Day Parade (photo left) with Marika Balzat (violin) and Archie (guitar) to a large crowd. |

| Black Pencil will perform a special children’s show (for nine and over) entitled “Caioni's Secret Book” at the Secondary Education Vechtstede College in Weesp, Netherlands on March 28th, 2023 at 11am and 12.30pm, directed by Annechien Koerselman. “Imagine: you inherit a map, with which you can find a treasure, which has been hidden for centuries in a monastery in Transylvania, present-day Romania. Then, of course, you don't think twice, but you go out with the musicians of Black Pencil to understand this mystery. Their instruments from recorders and pan flutes to percussion, viola and accordion show you the way. But be warned, Caioni's Secret Book can't just be revealed: musical riddles have to be solved and codes cracked.” |

 Die Confédération Internationale des Accordéonistes (CIA) hielt vom 3. bis 5. März 2023 in Paks, Ungarn, ihren 149. Winterkongress ab, an dem Delegierte aus 17 Ländern aus den USA, Südkorea, Russland, Skandinavien und ganz Europa teilnahmen.Die CIA hatte zwei Nominierungen für ihren prestigeträchtigen CIA-Verdienstpreis erhalten, mit dem herausragende Beiträge zur internationalen Akkordeonbewegung gewürdigt werden. Der Kongress beschloss einstimmig, Ladislav Horák (Tschechische Republik) und Renzo Ruggieri (Italien) für die Verdienstpreise zu nominieren. Renzo Ruggieri, Jazz-Akkordeonist, hat mehr als 2.000 Konzerte in der ganzen Welt gegeben, an Hunderten von Produktionen mitgewirkt und ist als Komponist, Arrangeur und Lehrer bekannt. Er war künstlerischer Leiter des PIF Castelfidardo und ist derzeit Leiter des von ihm gegründeten Italia Award Festivals. Er unterrichtet Jazz-Akkordeon am Konservatorium "Gaetano Braga" (Teramo, Italien) und seine Schüler haben viele internationale Wettbewerbe gewonnen. Ladislav Horák ist Akkordeonprofessor und stellvertretender Direktor des Prager Konservatoriums. Er tritt als Solist, Kammermusiker und in Begleitung von Symphonie- und Akkordeonorchestern auf und ist regelmäßig bei renommierten Festivals in verschiedenen Ländern der Welt zu Gast. Er ist künstlerischer Leiter des Festivals Internationale Akkordeontage in Prag und hat zahlreiche Werke zeitgenössischer tschechischer und ausländischer Komponisten uraufgeführt, die er für tschechische und internationale Rundfunkanstalten aufgenommen hat. |

 Das Museum A World of Accordions wird das Dr. Willard Palmer Festival im Harrington Arts Centre in Superior, Wisconsin, USA, veranstalten, um den Weltakkordeontag (WAD) zu feiern. Das Festival findet vom 5. bis 7. Mai 2023 statt und umfasst eine Reihe von Konzerten, Seminaren, Ausstellungen und einen Museumsbesuch. Siehe Poster für weitere Einzelheiten.Der erste WAD fand am 6. Mai 2009 statt, anlässlich des 180. Geburtstags des Akkordeons - dem 6. Mai 1829, dem Tag, an dem das Patent für das Akkordeon angemeldet wurde. Die WAD wird von der Confédération Internationale des Accordéonistes (CIA) organisiert und war sehr erfolgreich und hat viel positive Werbung für das Akkordeon gemacht. Jeder Akkordeonist wird gebeten, diese Veranstaltung aktiv zu unterstützen, indem er nationale und lokale Akkordeonaktivitäten in seinem Land am 6.
