  CASTELFIDARDO - Von Freitag bis Sonntag kehrt das Jazz-Akkordeon-Festival mit vollem Schwingungen zurück und fängt die frühlingshafte und festliche Stimmung ein, die in der Luft liegt. "Es ist das erste Festival des Jahres, das unter der Schirmherrschaft und dem Gütesiegel des P.I.F., des Internationalen Akkordeonpreises, stattfindet und allen Akkordeon- und Jazzliebhabern drei Tage mit Konzerten und zwei JAF-Sessions auf höchstem Niveau bietet. Ein einzigartiges Festival, das dank der Prägung und Forschung des künstlerischen Leiters Simone Zanchini die natürliche Essenz des Jazz in der Bewegung des Blasebalgs und in den Experimenten verkörpert, die einmal mehr die klangliche Kraft des Akkordeons demonstrieren", erklärt Stadtrat Ruben Cittadini.Zwei Orte, drei Künstler für drei Veranstaltungen mit freiem Eintritt, die Originalität, Energie und Eleganz miteinander verbinden. Die Eröffnung wird einer jungen aufstrebenden Künstlerin toskanischer Herkunft, Sara Calvanelli, anvertraut, die am Freitag um 21.30 Uhr im Club On Stage in der Via Soprani auftritt. Ein unveröffentlichtes Jazz-Solokonzert mit einer zutiefst persönlichen weiblichen Prägung: von der Tradition der alten Lieder bis zur freien Improvisation, einer noch nie dagewesenen Mischung aus Stimme, klassischem Akkordeon und elektronischen Effekten. Am Samstag auf der On Stage (21.30 Uhr) tritt das Trio Roberto Gervasi auf: Roberto Gervasi am Akkordeon, Davide Inguaggiato am Kontrabass und Fabrizio Giambanco am Schlagzeug, die Protagonisten von "My Jazzy Accordion", einer Hommage an Giganten wie Charlie Parker, Dizzy Gillespie, Bud Powell und Frank Marocco. Für die letzte Aufführung am Sonntag, den 19. Mai, verlagert sich der Schauplatz in den Salone degli Stemmi für das Nachmittagskonzert (18.00 Uhr) des französischen Solisten David Venitucci: ein Interpret und Komponist von hoher Qualität und Technik, eine einzigartige und überraschende Klangwelt erzeugt.  Die Confédération Internationale des Accordéonistes (CIA) hielt vom 3. bis 5. März 2023 in Paks, Ungarn, ihren 149. Winterkongress ab, an dem Delegierte aus 17 Ländern aus den USA, Südkorea, Russland, Skandinavien und ganz Europa teilnahmen.Die CIA hatte zwei Nominierungen für ihren prestigeträchtigen CIA-Verdienstpreis erhalten, mit dem herausragende Beiträge zur internationalen Akkordeonbewegung gewürdigt werden. Der Kongress beschloss einstimmig, Ladislav Horák (Tschechische Republik) und Renzo Ruggieri (Italien) für die Verdienstpreise zu nominieren. Renzo Ruggieri, Jazz-Akkordeonist, hat mehr als 2.000 Konzerte in der ganzen Welt gegeben, an Hunderten von Produktionen mitgewirkt und ist als Komponist, Arrangeur und Lehrer bekannt. Er war künstlerischer Leiter des PIF Castelfidardo und ist derzeit Leiter des von ihm gegründeten Italia Award Festivals. Er unterrichtet Jazz-Akkordeon am Konservatorium "Gaetano Braga" (Teramo, Italien) und seine Schüler haben viele internationale Wettbewerbe gewonnen. Ladislav Horák ist Akkordeonprofessor und stellvertretender Direktor des Prager Konservatoriums. Er tritt als Solist, Kammermusiker und in Begleitung von Symphonie- und Akkordeonorchestern auf und ist regelmäßig bei renommierten Festivals in verschiedenen Ländern der Welt zu Gast. Er ist künstlerischer Leiter des Festivals Internationale Akkordeontage in Prag und hat zahlreiche Werke zeitgenössischer tschechischer und ausländischer Komponisten uraufgeführt, die er für tschechische und internationale Rundfunkanstalten aufgenommen hat. |

 Das Museum A World of Accordions wird das Dr. Willard Palmer Festival im Harrington Arts Centre in Superior, Wisconsin, USA, veranstalten, um den Weltakkordeontag (WAD) zu feiern. Das Festival findet vom 5. bis 7. Mai 2023 statt und umfasst eine Reihe von Konzerten, Seminaren, Ausstellungen und einen Museumsbesuch. Siehe Poster für weitere Einzelheiten.Der erste WAD fand am 6. Mai 2009 statt, anlässlich des 180. Geburtstags des Akkordeons - dem 6. Mai 1829, dem Tag, an dem das Patent für das Akkordeon angemeldet wurde. Die WAD wird von der Confédération Internationale des Accordéonistes (CIA) organisiert und war sehr erfolgreich und hat viel positive Werbung für das Akkordeon gemacht. Jeder Akkordeonist wird gebeten, diese Veranstaltung aktiv zu unterstützen, indem er nationale und lokale Akkordeonaktivitäten in seinem Land am 6. | Texas Folklife hat angekündigt, dass das 34. Jahreskonzert der Accordion Kings & Queens am 3. Juni 2023 von 19 bis 22 Uhr anlässlich des 100-jährigen Bestehens des Miller Outdoor Theatre in Houston, Texas, stattfinden wird. Zu den Künstlern gehören Cedric Watson & Bijou Creole, Grupo Imagen, Alex Meixner Band und die Gewinner des Big Squeeze Youth Accordion Contest 2023 von Texas Folklife. Für Zuschauer, die nicht persönlich anwesend sein können, wird die Show gleichzeitig live über Facebook gestreamt. Accordion Kings & Queens präsentiert seit 1990 die außergewöhnliche Akkordeonmusik von Texas im Miller Outdoor Theatre in Houston. Die Veranstaltung zelebriert die kulturelle Vielfalt von Texas, indem sie Gemeinden für einen Abend mit Tanz und Akkordeonmusik zusammenbringt.  Vladimir ZubitskyOnline: Der XIV. Internationale Bajan-Akkordeon-Wettbewerb "Perpetuum Mobile" wird vom 5. bis 7. Mai 2023 in Drohobytsch, Ukraine, stattfinden.Der Wettbewerb hat sechs Kategorien für verschiedene Altersgruppen, verschiedene Musikstile und für Solisten, Ensembles und Orchester. Die Bewerbungsfrist endet am 21. April 2023. Ziel des Online-Wettbewerbs ist es, das Akkordeon zu popularisieren, und die Veranstaltung ist dem 70. Geburtstag von Vladimir Zubitsky gewidmet.   The 2023 Che Bandoneon International Competition is open to bandoneon players of all nationalities and at least 18 years of age by August 1st, 2022. The preliminary round will be held online. The Finals of the Competition will be held in Stowe, Vermont USA from August 8th to 20th as a part of the 2023 Stowe Tango Music Festival.  Leonardo Rojnic (picture left - Croatia-Finland), student from the Sibelius Academy, University of the Arts Helsinki, Finland, achieved a golden medal in the Virtuoso category of Instrumentalists: 18, 19 or 20 years old at the 4th Vienna International Music Competition, held online this month. The competition is designed to provide a large number of awards to exceptional musicians: recitals at the Musikverein and the Mozarthaus; cash prizes; five digital albums; and many Special Awards. At least 20 musicians will perform at the Winners’ Concerts at Musikverein and Mozarthaus in April 2023. |

 Anthony Schulz (picture right), Vice-President of the Accordion Society of Australia (National & Victorian branch) has just released his new recording “Mosaic: Music for Cello and Piano Accordion” with Rachel Scott (cello).Rachel and Anthony went into the studio in April 2022. They recorded pieces they'd been rehearsing and performing over the last few years - and 'Mosaic' was the result.  On March 18th, 2023, during the "Week of the Accordion" organized by Alessandro Mugnoz of the "Vecchi Tonelli" Conservatory in Modena, the accordion class of the Civic School Paolo Soprani di Castelfidardo will perform in a concert lesson in which they will talk about teaching, repertoire, arrangement etc. Tutor Luigino Pallotta will be joined by students Elena Merli, Michele Alessandrini, Cristian and Nicolas Chiaraluce (Fisitalia family), Emma Burini and Alessia Catena who have put a lot of effort into the preparation for this concert. | Murray Grainger will hold an Accordion Workshop in Misson, Nottinghamshire, England, UK on April 16th, 2023. Have you ever wondered how the professionals take a simple short tune of only a few bars and turn it into an exciting rich and varied piece? If so, then this course is for you! The workshop entitled “Tune development and arrangement on the accordion” will cover “how to develop tunes into a more interesting and varied arrangement. Murray will be looking at the use of ornamentation, harmonies, rhythmic elaboration and variation, as well as how the left hand can help you to take a simple tune and shape it into the arrangement you have always wanted.” All teaching materials will be provided before the day, both sheet music and audio recordings of the repertoire. | Video 1: Grayson Masefield schreibt: "Ein lustiges, unbeschwertes Disco-Medley, das Renzo Ruggieri für mich komponiert hat - Aufgeführt an der University of Massachusetts Boston. Video 2: Grayson spielt Chaccone in f-Moll, Pachelbel, Abschlusskonzert bei den Südpazifik-Akkordeon-Meisterschaften & Festival 2021. Das A World of Accordions Museum freut sich darauf, Grayson Masefield (Neuseeland) am 30. Juli 2023 in Superior, Wisconsin, USA, für sein Benefizkonzert begrüßen zu dürfen. Das Konzert wird in der Hanni-Strahl-Konzerthalle stattfinden, die akustisch ideal ist und für 1.000 Besucher Platz bietet. Im Laufe der Jahre wurde Grayson zu Auftritten in vielen Ländern eingeladen, darunter Frankreich, Spanien, Deutschland, Großbritannien, Portugal, Slowakei, Italien, USA, Kanada, Russland, Litauen, Mazedonien, Portugal, China, Schweiz, Chile, Tschechische Republik, Singapur, Südkorea, Österreich, Neuseeland, Australien und Finnland. Grayson verfügt über ein abwechslungsreiches Programm, das sowohl ernste Konzertwerke als auch Unterhaltungsmusik umfasst. Sein umfangreiches Repertoire ist auf seinen drei Alben sowie bei vielen Live-Auftritten auf youtube zu hören.  The CNIMA directed by Nathalie Boucheix will hold an “Adults” Accordion Workshop from March 27th to 31st, 2023, tutored by Jacques Mornet and Nathalie Boucheix (picture left).The workshop has been adapted to the specific problems that adults face with smaller class numbers. This is an ideal workshop for “beginners or to get back to the accordion as an adult in a friendly atmosphere”.
