  L'American Accordionists 'Association (AAA) célèbre son 85e anniversaire au Marriott Philadelphia Ouest à Conshohocken en Pennsylvanie aux États-Unis du 12 au 16 juillet 2023.Les organisateurs sont très heureux d'annoncer que la délicieuse, dynamique et mondialement renommée, la chef d'orchestre Joan C. Sommers, dirigera l'orchestre du festival cette année! Le comité du festival AAA s’efforce d’étoffer sans cesse le programme donc vous êtes invités à vérifier régulièrement le site Web de l'AAA pour les mises à jour et ajouts. Les formulaires d'inscription seront également en ligne bientôt. En attendant, ci-dessous sont listés quelques passionnants évènements déjà au programme. Nous sommes très heureux d'annoncer que Grayson Masefield de la Nouvelle-Zélande se joindra à nous pour des concerts et des stages. Grayson est un sympathique pédagogue qui a gagné et a été lauréat à plus d'une douzaine de compétitions d'accordéon internationaux à travers le monde dans les catégories classiques, virtuoses et numériques. Il est actuellement professeur d’accordéon à l'Université d'Auckland, en Nouvelle Zélande. Un autre artiste invité de renom sera la légende de l'accordéon Joey Miskulin qui a été intronisé au Temple de la renommée de la musique country en 2018. L’orchestre pour les jeunes sera celui dirigé par Joanna Darrow. Joanna a consacré toute sa vie à jouer, enseigner et promouvoir l'accordéon. Lors du banquet de samedi de notre festival, l'AAA décernera son fameux prix dédié au couronnement d’une carrière Lifetime Achievement au membre de longue date du conseil d'administration de l'AAA, Frank Busso Sr. Frank, a été éducateur, interprète, chef d'orchestre et ambassadeur tout autour de l'accordéon depuis des décennies. | Le XV Festival "Dani Harmonica" aura lieu à Ugljevik en République Serbe en Bosnie Herzégovine du 27 avril au 1er mai 2023, sous l’égide de l'école de musique élémentaire "Kornelije Stankovic". Au programme des concerts, des séminaires, des conférences pour professionnels et un concours pour solistes, ensembles de musique chambre et orchestres. | L'Orchestre Akkordeon Koln Deutz E.V (photo ci-dessous), dirigé par Olga Belyaeva, organisera un concert avec le Cologne Mandolin Orchestra "Harmonie" 1909 dirigé par Sergei Kurdriaschow le 12 mars 2023 à 17 h. Ce concert fait partie de la série de concerts "Accordéon et invités" et se tiendra à l'auditorium du Gymnase Friedrich-Wilhelm à Cologne en Allemagne. Leur programme comprendra des pièces écrites pour l'accordéon et la mandoline ainsi que des tubes de Stevie Wonder, des musiques de film et d'autres airs bien connus.  Les joueurs de Concertina du West Country organiseront un week-end stage de Concertina au Halsway Manor National Center for Folk Arts de Somerset en Angleterre, Royaume-Uni du 17 au 19 mars 2023.Le week-end s'adresse aux joueurs de niveau intermédiaire/avancé sur tous les systèmes et est ouvert à tous. Vous aurez le temps de vous détendre dans le confort du Halsway Manor, avec des soirée jam au bar, ainsi qu'un concert informel des professeurs le samedi soir.  The 2023 Northern Ireland Open Accordion Championships were held at the Hilton Hotel Conference Centre, in Templepatrick, Co. Antrim on February 18th, 2023, organised by Clyde Johnston (picture left).The event featured a final concert which included an opening performance by the Royal Meath Accordion Orchestra (picture above). Members of this orchestra were awarded the top three prizes in the overall category for best performances: Michael Leavey, Laura Masterson and the RMAO Senior Ensemble. This popular competition had over 180 entries from “England, Scotland, Germany, the Republic of Ireland as well as a strong local contingent.” Competition classes were held for soloists, duos, groups, orchestras and marching bands for a variety of age groups.  The Accordionists & Teachers Guild, International (ATG) will hold a Professional Development Course “How to Practise” with Jelena Milojevic (picture right) on February 26th from 12 noon US Central time.In this workshop attendees will learn to structure their own practice, or guide their students to do the same, in order to always perform well. In an easy to follow, step by step way, you'll get tools to building good habits in your daily practice routine. Jelenia will cover the process from the moment of preparing to learn music, process of fingering, practice strategies, avoiding learning mistakes, addressing problems, and so much more! Jelena Milojevic is an accordion instructor at the University of Victoria in Canada. She has an extensive performing history as a soloist, chamber musician and soloist with various orchestras.  Applications are now open for the 16th Premio Andrea Parodi European Music Competition for artists from all over the world. The competition was created in honour of the distinguished Sardinian artist Andrea Parodi, who passed away 17 years ago.The 2022 edition Premio Andrea Parodi received almost 300 entries, with about half from international countries. Competition prizes include concerts and performances in some of the partner music festivals in their 2024 editions, such as European Jazz Expo (Sardinia), Folkest (Friuli), as well as the 2024 Premio Andrea Parodi as well as a €2,500 scholarship. Winner of the Critics' Award will have a professional videoclip of their competition piece produced, offered by the Andrea Parodi Foundation. The finals will be held in autumn in Cagliari, Sardinia.  Auckland accordionist Tracey Collins entertained as a member of the Bluelight Trio at the Katikati Twilight Festival in Katikati, New Zealand on February 11th, 2023.  Urs Lötscher (picture left) will tutor an Accordion Workshop at the Haus der Volksmusik in Altdorf, Switzerland on February 26th, 2023.“During the course you will learn to accompany a simple yodel song with the accordion. The course group is dedicated to various topics: Basic knowledge of harmony and ear training. Musical expression, sound design, dynamics, development of understanding of text in yodel songs, interaction with small yodel formations (solo, duet, trio).” The workshop is aimed at young people & adults with a playing level at least intermediate, an interest in yodeling, knowledge of sheet music and simple musical basics.  Accordionists will entertain at the “2023 Shamrock the Dock” festival held at 1 Dock St in Annapolis, Maryland, USA on March 4th and 5th, 2023.The two day music and cultural festival will feature international and local acts, including Scythian (USA – picture below with accordionist Dan Fedoryka) and Skerryvore (Scotland - picture left with Daniel Gillespie on accordion). The event will also celebrate St. Patrick's Day with a huge parade and a circus tent with music performances. |

 Le Congrès National de l’Accordéon 2023 (NAA) aura lieu à l'Hôtel Hilton à Richardson au Texas du 15 au 19 mars 2023.Ce congrès, organisé par les membres du congrès, approche ! Faites vos réservations dès aujourd'hui (hôtel et convention). Le programme et infos complémentaires sont sur le site web de la NAA. A compter du 17 février 2023, il ne reste que 26 jours avant le congrès 2023 de la National Accordion Association ! Le congrès consiste en quatre jours intensifs pour les accordéonistes et les amateurs d'accordéon avec plus de 30 ateliers, deux concerts et une soirée dansante le vendredi avec le populaire Brave Combo Band et l'accordéoniste Alex Meixner. Deux repas sont inclus, dont un élégant banquet le samedi soir, et des possibilités de prendre des cours privés avec nos participants rendront cette convention encore plus spéciale. Un temps de fête toujours très appréciée de la Convention aura lieu avec le Fun Band dirigé par Dick Albreski. Le président de la NAA, Norman Seaton (photo de droite), a déclaré : "Notre idée est que tous ceux qui souhaitent se produire pourront le faire à un moment donné au cours des quatre jours. Il y aura de nombreuses occasions de jouer pendant les repas, des jam session, bref de la musique non-stop." Une brocante proposera des instruments de musique et des compagnies d'accordéon seront sur place pour exposer leurs instruments. Un aspect important de chaque convention NAA est les merveilleuses amitiés forgées au cours de l'événement. Un des organisateurs a déclaré que ce n'est pas seulement la musique qui rend l'expérience si formidable ; quand on revient année après année, ça devient des retrouvailles ! Le congrès présentera des versions 2023 de musique américaine commercialisables en tant que musique d'aujourd'hui. Cette musique est un mélange de musique américaine d’aujourd’hui créée par des immigrants américains qui ont apporté leurs valeurs et traditions musicales en rejoignant le grand creuset américain. Cours de niveau supérieur dispensés au congrès national d'accordéon 2023 : Suite à notre enquête nous proposons des cours sur la créativité et la musique, la développement de l'oreille, le contrôle de l'articulation et du soufflet, les techniques de pratique, la lecture à vue, la théorie musicale, les techniques d'interprétation et les opportunités de performance.
