16th Premio Andrea Parodi Music Competition - Italyby Christine Johnstone |
 Applications are now open for the 16th Premio Andrea Parodi European Music Competition for artists from all over the world. The competition was created in honour of the distinguished Sardinian artist Andrea Parodi, who passed away 17 years ago.The 2022 edition Premio Andrea Parodi received almost 300 entries, with about half from international countries. Competition prizes include concerts and performances in some of the partner music festivals in their 2024 editions, such as European Jazz Expo (Sardinia), Folkest (Friuli), as well as the 2024 Premio Andrea Parodi as well as a €2,500 scholarship. Winner of the Critics' Award will have a professional videoclip of their competition piece produced, offered by the Andrea Parodi Foundation. The finals will be held in autumn in Cagliari, Sardinia.
