| The first New Orleans Accordion Festival takes place from November 2nd to 4th, celebrating the accordion as a serious instrument played within many genres of music in the city, state, nation and around the globe. The main guests include Gil Goldstein and drummer Johnny Vidacovich (Jazz), Cory Ledet (Zydeco), Bruce Dagrepont (Cajun), and The New Orleans Klezmer All Stars. The New Orleans Accordion Festival is seeking local accordion-centric artists and bands. Paid slots are 40 minutes long and will be at the Dutch Alley National Park Service Performance Space and the adjacent French Market Pavilion on Saturday November 3rd between 11am and 6pm.
