The top competition categories of the 34th Festival Internazionale Fisarmonica Castelfidardo were won by Iosif Purits (Russia) who won the Premio category and Petar Maric (Serbia) who won Category D (classical) and Category H (entertainment). Entries were up this year and a number of countries had prize winners. Cagnoni Reeds presented their annual award Golden Voice ‘Voce d'Oro’ to Renzo Ruggieri. This award is given to those who have given prominence to the accordion in the world of modern music through performance, composition, organization of events, promotion and television or newspaper coverage. The "Ballone Burini award for the school/teacher who had the most participants to place in the top three of categories ABCD and Premio was won by Cao Xiao-Qing (China). Jury President was Alessandro Sbordoni and jury for the whole event were: Vincenzo Abbracciante, Franck Angelis, Klaudiusz Baran, Dragan Djokic, Jean-Marc Fabiano, Yuri Ivanovich Febenchuk, Jean-Marie Geiser, Ladislav Horak, Claudio Jacomucci, Francesco Palazzo, Chen Jun, Sergio Petronio, Us Zoia Petrovna, Paolo Picchio, Wang Yu Ping , Germano Scurti, Alexander Selivanov, Romano Viazzani, Borut Zagoranski, Daily Reports of the “Faces and Facts” and results are available online at 2009 Concorso. |
