 Pietro Roffi (picture left) will perform with the Bohuslav Martinu Philharmonic Orchestra (picture below - conducted by Robert Kruzik) at the Zlín Congress Centre in Zlin, Czech Republic on November 10th, 2022 at 7pm.The concert entitled “The Magic of Fairy Tales” will include “Fairy Tales” for accordion and orchestra (a seven-movement suite by Václav Trojan), Hansel and Gretel, overture to the opera (by Engelbert Humperdinck) and Scheherazade, Op. 35 (by Nikolai Rimsky-Korsakov). A number of composers throughout history have drawn inspiration from fairy tales for their work, and it is works by Humperdinck, Trojan and Rimsky-Korsakov based on folk-tale themes that make up this concert.
