| Accordionist Zoe Tiganouria will perform at a tribute concert to Stelios Kazantzidis at the Amphitheater of the American College of Greece in Athens, Greece on October 31st, 2022 at 8pm, organized by the Cultural & Sports Organization of the Municipality of Agia Paraskevi (PAODAP). Stelios Kazantzidis was one of the most prominent Greek singers of Greek popular music or Laïkó, who passed away in Athens, Greece in September, 2001. Zoe will perform tango, classical and traditional music with Peggy Zina (vocals), the string ensemble "Enchord" and dancers. This popular concert is a sell-out! |

 The 2023 Accordion Days Switzerland will be held from January 20th to 22nd, 2023 in Sursee, Lucerne, Switzerland organised by accordeon.chThe events will include accordion courses by Lionel Chapuis (Switzerlnd), Silke D'Inka (Germany), Johannes Münzner (Austria) and Ian Watson (England). Conducting Course: by Stefan Hippe (Germany). Solo master class: by Fanny Vicens (France/Switzerland). Ian Watson (picture above) will hold an Advanced Orchestra course with the theme of "Drama". Pieces covered will be "Sinfonietta Dramatika" (by Stevan Divjakovic) and Ian Watson's own composition "On Aldeburgh Beach". Registration deadline is December 11th, 2022. | The Eastbourne Accordion Festival will be held at The Queens Hotel in Eastbourne, East Sussex, England from February 3rd to 6th, 2023. The festival will feature a variety of artists including Robin Johnstone Hyland, Jonny Kerry, Roman Voloshchuk, Harry Hussey, Rosemary Wright, Gary Blair, Nigel Pasby and Helen Newton. Stands at the show will include Squeezebox Market Place, CGF Publications and Harry Kiplings Accordion Treasures. Workshops at the weekend will be run by Sammie Peckover, Angie Lukins, Jean Hanger’s Vintage Orchestra. See poster for details. |

| Vardos Trio, which includes accordionist Sophia Chapman, will present a concert entitled “Birds & Beasts of the East” at the Melbourne Recital Centre Primrose Potter Salon in Melbourne, Australia on November 4th, 2022 at 7pm. This concert is part of a series: Chamber Music, Season Four: Blossom, presented by the Melbourne Recital Centre. The concert music features the stories of animals in Eastern European cultures, inspired by Vardos Trio’s “extensive travel and studies throughout Hungary, Romania and neighbouring countries”. The “violin mimicks both bird and mosquito, accordion embodying a sinuous snake, the hurdy gurdy a buzzing bee and the double bass’ gut strings the grunt of a bear.” For details email: vardos@hotmail.com |

 Duo Aspera will perform at the 2022 International Meridian Festival, held in Bucharest, Romania on November 12th, 2022.The festival, organised by UCMR - The Union of Composers and Musicologists in Romania through ISCM Romanian Section will run from November 6th to 13th, 2022. This year’s event includes the celebration of the ISCM’s centenary with the theme "Atlas" focusing on travel around the globe. Accordionist Performs in Play “The Exquisite Corpse” - Australiaby Heather Masefield |

 Dave Evans (accordion), Guillermo Anad (viola) and Nick Reynolds (double bass) will provide the musical accompaniment to the play “The Exquisite Corpse” which is currently running at La Mama Courthouse, Carlton, Victoria, Australia until October 30th, 2022.The play features the women of the Horse Head Salon, who are getting ready to exhibit their new work, concocted while they play, drink, laugh and dream. Their achievements have been overshadowed by their more famous partners, and it’s time to turn the tables. The play is a surreal mash-up of tales of Clara Schumann, Leonora Carrington, Caitlin Thomas, Camille Claudel, Ella Grainger, Mary Livingstone and Madeleine Milhaud. Saturated with conflicting desires, impassioned acts, commiserations and consolations, it playfully subverts the status quo and celebrates the unique talents of the women. |

F-Trio have just released New EP “The Sinis Waves Sessions” which was recorded, mixed and mastered by Andrea Cutri at Sinis Waves Studio in Cabras, Italy. The trio consists of Caterina Fiorentini (piano, accordion & vocals), Giovanni Fiorentini (drums) and Vincenzo Fiorentini (guitars). “The recording celebrates the return of music played together by the trio and represents at the same time a musical and family reunion, as well as a moment of radical innovation of the usually discreet sound of Caterina's compositions. | Accordionist Amber Vuillermoz will performs at a benefit concert held at Église Notre-Dame-de-Romigier de Manosque (Church Notre-Dame in Romigier) in Manosque, France on October 29th, 2022 at 6pm. All proceeds from the event, organised by the Association Jeux d'Anches, will benefit the Association of Cancer for Wellbeing. Guest performers include Brigitte Peyré (soprano), Etienne Planel (baritone) and Le choeur Volubilis (Volubilis Choir) directed by Marie Beune. |

| Black pencil (pictured above), which includes accordionist Marko Kassl will perform Topeng concerts with the contemporary gamelan ensemble “Kyai Fatahillah” from Indonesia (picture below) in The Netherlands next month. “The beautiful Topeng masks on stage immediately set the tone: a cross-pollination between cultures, with a touch of mystery. The richness of colors and the deep sound of the gongs, in combination with Black Pencil’s instruments: recorder, panflute, viola, accordion and percussion.” Their program will include the premiere of new compositions by Iwan Gunawan (the driving force behind Kyai Fatahillah for many years) and by multimedia artist and composer Jay Afrisando. They are alternated with Topeng traditional pieces, in which the musicians use new techniques with respect and fantasy. | The CNIMA directed by Nathalie Boucheix will hold their final workshop for adults this year from November 7th to 11th, 2022. The course is specifically designed for adults with smaller classes adapted to the specific problems of adults in a friendly atmosphere by tutors Jacques Mornet and Nathalie Boucheix. The workshop will cover instrumental work based on the Jacques Mornet method, approach of the accordion as a wind instrument, management of the air column and the bellows, search for a balance between body and instrument, work on touch and articulations and quest for musicality.
