 The Confédération Internationale des Accordéonistes (CIA) 2016 Winter Congress is usually held February/March 2017. At the invitation of the German CIA member Deutsche Harmonika-Verband (DHV), the Winter Congress was changed to December 2016 to allow delegates to attend the Gala 70th Anniversary Concert of the 'Nürnberger Akkordeonorchester' directed by Stefan Hippe. Full event report at: 2016InsbrReport Additionally, the delegates are invited to attend the world famous Xmas Market in the beautiful Old Town area of Nürnberg on the same dates. Winter Congress Organizer is Georg Hettmann, DHV Landesverband Bayern e.V. One of three founding members of the CIA in 1935, the Deutscher Harmonika-Verband e.V. (DHV) will also host the 74th Coupe Mondiale in 2021 in Bruschal, Germany to coincide with their 90th Anniversary Celebrations. The December Winter Congress meetings of the CIA committees and the General Assembly of Delegates are scheduled for Friday evening, Saturday and Sunday before lunch.
