 On Tuesday June 25th, 12 until 4pm, Dave Munnelly holds a diatonic accordion master class at the Unitarian Church, 112 St. Stephen's Green, Dublin 2.At 8pm, Dave Munnelly and fiddle player Mick Coneely perform in concert at the same venue. David Munnelly, from County Mayo, is known for his colourful style, with bold bass fingerings, complex arrangements and modern compositions. He has been a member of the band the Loose Connections, and has recorded and toured with The Chieftains, De Danann, Gerry O’Connor, Arty McGlynn, and Sharon Shannon. David formed the David Munnelly Band in1999 and began a 13 year journey with his own band touring Europe, America and Japan, and recording four critically acclaimed CDs. Recently David has expanded his repertoire to mainland Europe where he is currently working on several new projects. Along with the most respected accordion players in Europe, David currently performs with the ‘Accordion Samurai’. |
