Michael Garvin has been playing the accordion from the age of 8, was taught in Glasgow by Jimmy Blair, and played in the Jimmy Blair Accordion Orchestra in NAO competitions all over Britain and abroad. Annual holidays to the island of Barra gave Michael the opportunity to play at ceilidhs where he acquired a ‘West Coast’ style of playing, leading to winning the accordion competition at the National Mod in Inverness. Michael Garvin and the Ardmhor Ceilidh Band have performed in the USA, Canada, Australia, Germany, France, Egypt, Jersey, Sweden, Spain and Russia.

The band line up is Michael Garvin (accordion), Joanie Garvin (fiddle), Colin Garvin (accordion, piano), and Fraser MacInnes (drums).
