The Accordions Worldwide News for May 10th 2002 included an item about the Italian accordionist Claudio Jacomucci performing the soundtrack of the 1925 silent film ‘Jewish Happiness’ at a cinema in Bologna. Music for a Jewish Silent Film – Italy Contributed by Holda Paoletti-Kampl On April 25th Claudio Jacomucci (accordion) and Marco Dalpane (piano) performed the soundtrack of the silent film ‘Jewish Happiness’ (A. Granowski, 1925) at the Lumiere Cinema in Bologna. The music, composed by the two musicians, is inspired by traditional Jewish music and in particular by the pieces collected by Ukrainian musicologist Beregovski. |
