2016 Strumenti & Musica Festival, Spoleto - Italy

2016 Strumenti & Musica Festival header
Buttons and Bellows, Aleksandar Nikolic and Petar Maric, Giorgio Dellarole.From 18th to 22nd May, Spoleto, will host the 2016 Strumenti & Musica Festival organised by “Italian Accordion Culture”, CIA Italian member.

There are various accordion categories including the Premio Strumenti & Musica (national competitions for young Italian accordionists) to qualify for the 69th CIA Coupe Mondiale. Download the Rules in Italian and English to see the various categories: 2016Spoleto.pdf

Accordion Schedule:
Friday 20th May: 9 pm "Baroque Music Concert" in the historic setting of the Hall of Honour of Palazzo Leti Sansi by Giorgio Dellarole (accordion) and Massimiliano Limonetti (clarinet) performing a repertoire of Scarlatti, Bach, Vivaldi, Telemann and Stanley.

Saturday 21st May: accordion competitions from 9.00 am at the Palazzo Mauri.
9 pm "Buttons & Bellows" concert by Aleksandar Nikolic concert (bandoneon) and Petar Maric (accordion) to perform a program ranging from Bach, Vivaldi, Piazzolla, Angelis and Galliano.

Sunday 22nd May: accordion competitions from 9.00 am until 1 pm at the Teatro Caio Melisso after which the results are announced.
5 pm Competition Winners Concert Teatro Caio Melisso by the piano and accordion winners.

The international jury members (alphabetical order) are:
Patrizia Angeloni (Italy), Giorgio Dellarole (Italy), Marco Gemelli (Italy), Ladislav Horak (Czech Republic), Alexander Selivanov (Russia), Jörgen Sundeqvist (Sweden), Li Tao (China), Zhang Xinhua China).

You can attend free the competitors and the tickets for the Winners Concert may be purchased (€ 10) during the competition days.
