| The World Music Festival Gala-Konzert, 6th May, featured the winners of the 11th World Music Festival 2013: Accordion Orchestra 'AKUD Sonja Marinkovic' from Novi Sad, Serbia. Conductor Goran Penic. The Accordion Orchestra from Novi Sad consists of 40 active players and players who are active in various sectors (housewives, students, teachers, farmers, engineers, etc.). Goran Penic always seeks the extraordinary sound and unique interpretation. He stands out from the ordinary accordion orchestra by inserting new nuances, new timbres, with the help of seven elektronien, percussion and piano. His 40-piece orchestra is very well established, the sound is a careful balance, all of which helps create the unique sound quality. The Accordion Orchestra "AKUD Sonja Marinkovic“ has won numerous national and international competitions: Castelfidardo (2003, 2009), Pula (2005, 2007, 2009, 2013, 2015), Prague (2006), Innsbruck (2013), Smederevo (2003), Ruma (2005, 2007, 2011, 2013), Slavonski Brod (2012, 2013). The orchestra has been regularly awarded with excellent rating and is dedicated to original works of renowned composers: Rudolf Bruci, Karl Krombholc, Petar Ozgijan, Ivan Kovac, Bruno Bjelinski, Slavko Suklar, Stevan Divjakovic, Wolfgang Ruß. |
