Flogging Molly's sixth annual Green 17 tour takes their mixture of traditional Irish music and punk rock across the USA in the weeks leading up to St. Patrick's Day. Main S, Rochester, NY Founded in Los Angeles in 1997, Flogging Molly began playing in a local bar called Molly Malone’s, with instruments including accordion, violin, mandolin mixing with grinding guitars and pounding drums. Flogging Molly’s latest album, ‘Float’, was recorded in Ireland. The band’s website states: “The overall effect is a symphonic layering of sound that possesses a unique rhythmic flow from boisterous to bereaved and back again. Long time fans and new discoverers will be equally astounded”. |
