The accordionist and singer Christine Schmid started her career this early age, starting to play the accordion with only 3 years and had solo performances at first only as an accordionist, later after her jazz studies in Paris also as a chanson singer. With her soprano studies at the conservatory in Basel she gained experience as a soloist in opera and operetta. She completed numerous radio - and television appearances as an actress in various series. In early 2012 she was awarded the Franco-German Borderland Culture Prize. 2015, made her debut also in the lead role of Tosca and Aida in Italy. Her repertoire is broad – with guest appearances of her own theater program from the 30s, has a modern pop-chanson program under www.adouce.de for which she arranged French songs into pop with electronic beats accompanied with a music video. |
