VII National Accordion Competition Motion Music Festival - Polandby Christine Johnstone |
 The VII National Accordion Competition Motion Music Festival will be held at the Music School Complex in Wieliczka, Poland from June 9th to 11th, 2022. The originators and organizers of the competition are Beata Mietka, Izabela Szota, Piotr Marczak, Oskar Gut.The competition aims to popularize accordion as an instrument of many faces and great sound possibilities as well as to cultivate Polish tradition through Polish folklore. Starting with the fourth edition, the requirements introduced the obligatory inclusion of compositions based on folk themes in arrangements for accordion and compositions by contemporary Polish composers. The Motion Trio ensemble may, regardless of the Jury, award the Grand Prix as part of the Motion Music Festival to an ensemble performing songs composed or developed by Motion Trio.
