 The 2010 Festival Inter Celtique in Lorient, Brittany, took place from August 6th to 15th. This annual festival brings together the folk music traditions of Brittany, Spain, Canada, Scotland, Ireland and Wales, and is a celebration of a common Celtic cultural heritage. The festival includes competitions for music, song and dance, one of which is a contest for diatonic accordions.Accordions are always much in evidence at Lorient, and acts involving accordions this year included the Robert Noquet Quartet, Duo Bour Bodros, Capercaillie, La Bottine Sourient, Termajik, and others. The results of this year’s diatonic accordion competition are: 1) Marcos G.
