 Friedrich Lips est l'un des plus célèbres joueurs de Bayan en Russie, connu non seulement dans le monde, mais aussi dans le milieux de l'accordéon classique. Son dernier enregistrement est le CD «Viva Voce», désormais disponible, comprend des œuvres de Madsen, Yannay, Ledenyov et Podgaits. Le compositeur norvégien Trigve Madsen a écrit pour 2 Accordéons pour Friedrich Lips et Jon Faukstad. Avec elle, il voulait - compte tenu du fait que les interprètes de la Russie аnd Norvège - pour décrire des éléments humoristiques de la proximité des compositeurs russes Chostakovitch et Grieg, sont tant dans le style que dans les thèmes. Yehuda Yannay écrit mоге de 120 pièces pour divers instruments, musique électronique et musique de films. Viva Voce (voix vive) est tо présent - selon les idées du compositeur - le bruit ainsi аs le souffle de la rue.  Même si Alexandre Nikolaïevitch Cholminov (né en 1925) a été largement considéré comme l'un des plus brillants compositeurs et admiré dans le monde de l'accordéon, il n'avait pratiquement écrit qu'un seul travail de l'instrument - la fameuse «Suite pour Bayan ». Cette suite, produite en 1951, est solidement implanté dans le répertoire accordéoniste et a été joué par des générations d'étudiants et des solistes dans leurs programmes. Près d'un demi-siècle après ses débuts splendide, Alexander Cholminov, aujourd'hui l'un des compositeurs les plus éminents de Russie de l'opéra, symphonique et musique de chambre de la seconde moitié du 20ème siècle, est revenue à l'accordéon en 1998 pour créer son «Concerto symphonique pour Bayan. Dans sa mélodie d'automne "(2005) Cholminov utilisé une belle mélodie de sa musique pour le film 'Predsedatyel» («Le Président»). Le fantasme, profonde et émotionnelle, est parfaitement construit et montre - ce qui est essentiel - un peu haut perchée et riche intonation. Enfin, la première représentation de son «Concerto pour accordéon et orchestre symphonique, qui aura lieu lors du concert d'ouverture du concours de cette année« IV internationale pour Bayanists et les accordéonistes à Moscou le 12 Décembre 2010 (soliste: Friedrich Lips).  Du 21 au 26 septembre prochain aura lieu à Vigo (Espagne) la 60ème édition du trophée (Trophée) Mondial de l'Accordéon.Plus de 50 candidats venus du Monde entier participeront aux 5 catégories du Concours, à savoir, junior et Senior variété, Junior et senior Classique, ainsi que la nouvelle catégorie "Trophée National" composée d'un programme libre de 20 minutes (incluant au moins une oeuvre baroque et une pièce originale pour accordéon). Cette nouvelle catégorie est réservée aux candidats âgés de plus de 18 ans qui ne se présentent pas dans la catégorie senior classique.  Accordéoniste Mary Tokarski, sera sur scène avec une orchestre complete le 10 et le 11Septembre, 19h30, au Centre Filene, Wolftrap Farm Park, à Vienne, en Virginie, lors d'une projection haute définition de «Le Seigneur des Anneaux - Le Retour du roi ». Il s'agit d'une première américaine de la présentation de ce film (qui a remporté l'Oscar du meilleur film en 2003) avec un live orchestra, dont Marie Tokarski (Mary Tokarski) et solistes. Il y aura des écrans géants à l'interne et sur la pelouse. Témoin la conclusion étonnante de la trilogie film épique avec un score de Oscar Howard Shore jouée en direct sur scène! . Howard Shore a remporté 14 récompenses pour ses partition originale et la chanson "Into the West», dont un Oscar, un Grammy Award et un Golden Globe.  Henry Doktorski performed at the 14th Annual German Heritage Festival in Erie, Pennsylvania, during Labor Day weekend September 4th and 5th, his second consecutive year performing at this event. He was the featured performer in the ‘Viennese Pavilion’ -decorated with a magnificent backdrop of the Habsburg Schönbrunn Palace, and his repertoire included the great European waltzes and polkas by Johann Strauss Jr. and Émile Waldteufel, among other composers. Henry commented, "I really enjoyed performing in the relaxed atmosphere of the Viennese Pavilion. The audience members sat at café tables where they nibbled on German chocolate cake, sipped German coffees and beers and Rhine wines, and listened to some of the world's greatest waltzes and polkas: Strauss' ‘Blue Danube’, ‘Frühlingsstimmen’, ‘Emperor Waltz’, ‘Pizzicato Polka’, and Waldteufel's ‘Les Patineurs’ and ‘Dolores’ waltzes, to name a few. The audience was attentive and appreciate and I especially enjoyed sitting at the tables and chatting with many music lovers during my breaks". Festival Co-Chairman Raymond Luniewski wrote, "Once again, the Viennese Café area of the Erie German Heritage Festival featured Henry Doktorski on the accordion. We were so very pleased to have Mr. Doktorski with us once again and glad to see the large amount of people who came into the café and sat and enjoyed his waltzes, marches and more! And just for good measure a few Deiro pieces too! Henry's all around performance was outstanding as usual and numerous musicians also stopped throughout the weekend to admire his virtuosity and mastering of the accordion. We hope to keep him an integral part of the festival for years to come!" |

| LE STAGE Pour la 4e année consécutive, l’association Atout Vent organisait sin stage d’été au Domaine de Kermenguy à Lézardrieux(22) du 22 au 29 août 2010. L’équipe des professeurs constituée d’Angélique Goardou titulaire du Diplôme d’étude musicale, Delphine Doublot professeur dans de nombreuses écoles de Vendée, Camille Privat gagnante du Grand Prix International de Montrond les bains, Alexandre Monnier gagnant du prix SPEDIDAM à l’Olympia, Nicolas Lebret accordéoniste du groupe Rennais FAB et Damien Petiteau professeur dans la région Nantaise accueillait 27 stagiaires venus des quatre coins de la France. Certains des élèves préparaient des concours régionaux comme l’UMPE(Union Musicale des Professeurs Européens ou encore le Grand Prix de Castelfidardo et le concours International de Roubaix, d’autres venaient pour se perfectionner. Les stagiaires ont participés à différents ateliers tango ; formation musicale, musette, ils ont également participées à la création d’un orchestre d’accordéon. Après avoir suivi un perfectionnement individuel, les élèves se sont produits lors du concert de fin de stage. LE CONCERT Pendant la semaine de stage d’été a eu lieu un concert à la Cathédrale de Tréguier. Ce concert a été ouvert par l’ensemble de Tango constitué par les élèves du stage et le professeur responsable de l’atelier Delphine Doublot. Nous avons pu également entendre Sébastien Taillard en Classique, jeune virtuose plein d’avenir qui prépare son Diplôme d’Etude Musicale en accordéon et en percussions. Maryll Abbas, qui comme Sébastien est élève de Camille Privat nous a ébloui par sa prestation dans un style jazz variété, elle prépare le Grand Prix International de Castelfidrado en Italie Pour clotûrer le concert Camille Privat, gagnante du CMA Trophée Mondial de l’accordéon nous à interpréter des pièces d’époque Baroque et de nombreuse pièces de Viatcheslav Semionov. Camille prépare un double CD variété/classique et une série de concert en France et en Europe. Alexandre Monnier chef d’orchestre est venu rejoindre les musiciens pour un final qui a fait chanter toute la foule venue très nombreuse environ 450 personnes. |

| US accordionist Joe Natoli has released a new CD titled ‘Waltz for Ron’, which commemorates the late Ron Lankford and his contribution to the accordion world. Ron was renowned for his wonderful Roland customer service and love for the accordion, and Joe is seeking to assist the Lankford family with a donation of $20 plus $5 shipping/handling for the ‘Waltz For Ron’ CD. Additionally, ‘Waltz for Ron’ is now available in solo, duet, or accordion orchestra format and can be purchased from JANPress Publications at http://janpress.freeservers.com. Both the solo and the accordion orchestra recordings are included on the CD in addition to the other selections of music performed. Joe Natoli, composer/arranger/performer/publisher, was taught by prominent Ohio accordion teacher, the late Mickey Bisilia, and won the 1972 American Accordionists’ Association (AAA) US Virtuoso Accordion Championship, and was runner up in the CIA Coupe Mondiale later that same year. Joe achieved his Bachelor and Master of Music degrees from the University of Toronto where he studied with renowned Canadian accordionist, Joseph Macerollo. Joe also earned a Computer Science degree and an MBA degree. He works in the Information Technology (IT) industry, but music (especially accordion and composition) remain his lifelong passions. In September 2008, Joe competed and won the first Roland Corporation US V-Accordion competition, then went to Rome, Italy, in November 2008 for the 2nd International V-Accordion competition where he and wife JoAnn became friends with Ron Lankford. Joe, who resides in Ohio, joined the Roland Corporation US team as a V-Accordion Product Specialist in 2009. ‘Waltz for Ron’ was recorded using the Roland FR7 and FR7X as well as the Roland digital VS880ex hard disk recorder and the Edirol R-OH9R pocket digital recorder. | The 11th "Tante Voci: La Fisarmonica" Festival di Capistrello, directed Carmine Di Marco, took place on August 17th, and attracted and attendance of approximately 3,000. The guests included accordionist Renzo Ruggieri and guitarist Mauro De Federicis, who accompanied the well-known tenor Piero Mazzocchetti (winner of the San Remo 2007 competition). Also there as guests were the Francesco Citera Quartet, Mario Stefano Pietrodarchi - bandoneon and Luca Ancini – guitar, the Ukrainian Eugenia CherChazova, Bruno Galeone (Madagascar), Luca Ricci, Fabio Pizzo, and Andrea Restaino. One of the highlights was a performance of the ‘Thieving Magpie overture’, by Rossini, directed by Maestro Di Marco, a renowned composer, who conducted a specially created festival accordion orchestra. The festival received coverage on the Italian Broadcasting Corporation TV station RAI Unomattina Estate. |

| On a particularly hot evening in August, the public that filled the restaurant of the Hotel Concordia, Salto, Uruguay, heard leading accordionist and well known teacher Silvio Previale, accompanied by Néstor Bisio (accordion), Enrique Texo (guitar), Amira Beyrutti (piano), and José Luis Curubeto (percussion), performing a program of tangos, polkas, and Chamamé.  The third evening of a week of shows, organized by the Conservatoire Tchaikovsky Nocera Terinese (Cz) Italy, at the Campus International AFAM, has been particularly dynamic and alive with the vibrant performance of the Mediterranean Jazz Duo, Antonio Spaccarotella (accordion) and Alberto La Neve (sax). A large and enthusiastic crowd attended to see and hear the two musicians, whose original music is inspired by ethnic tango, and especially jazz, and is an innovative musical style. This duo is pursuing a successful concert career in Europe, and their music has evolved stylistically. The proud director of the Conservatory, Maestro Pierfrancesco Pullia, thanked and congratulated the two musicians at the end of the concert for their splendid performance. |

 A call for accordionists to take part in a performance in the Huddersfield Contemporary Music Festival 2010 has been made.Huddersfield Contemporary Music Festival is looking for 10 to 15 accordionists to perform in ‘In Every Dream Home, a Heartache’, a live performance that will take place in the Worksetting Contemporary Art Gallery, Huddersfield, West Yorkshire. ‘Every Dream Home, a Heartache’ will be directed in rehearsal and performance by experimental music composer Alvin Curran. This is an exciting opportunity to perform in a large ensemble and discover new ways of making music as part of an internationally renowned festival. The performance takes place on Monday 22 November 22nd, 6pm, at the Byram Arcade, Huddersfield.
