The XXXI 31st International Festival "Bayan and Bayanists" featured some world premieres, among them being two works by the Moscow composer Roman Galiev. One work was featured last week. This week we feature "Portrait" for solo accordion and viola, string orchestra, piano and two drums. The composer shares his fiery energy with the listener. All the musical fabric of the composition is saturated with extraordinary delight, a rhythm, a melody. The concert piece was performed by soloists: Arseniy Strokovskiy - accordion. Michiru Soeda (Japan) - viola, "Seasons" - Moscow Chamber Orchestra, conductor Honored Artist of Russia Vladislav Bulakhov. The festival audience warmly welcomed the artists and praised the premiere performance.. Roman Galiev (picture below) was summoned to the stage, where he and the soloists were presented with flowers and gifts. |
