Arseniy Strokovskiiy
Arseniy Strokovskiy (May 10, 1990) – a Russian musician, accordionist.
  • Graduate and postgraduate from the Moscow State Institute of Music named after A.G. Schnittke class of Professor Sergey Osokin.

  • The scholarship holder of the program DAAD (German Academic Exchange Service) at Würzburg University of Music in Germany, Professor Stefan Hussong.
Arseniy is a laureate of numerous world-renowned international contests..

His victory at the most prestigious accordion contest in the world in Klingenthal, Germany was the result of a long-time musical activity.

It is remarkable that for more than 50 years of the contest’s existence there have been only three prizewinners who played keyboard accordion, and in 2016 Arseniy became the third one.

  • 2014 Harbin Summer International Accordion Art Week, Harbin, China;
  • 2014 South Pacific and New Zealand Accordion Championships and Festival, Auckland, New Zealand;
  • 2014 Australian International Accordion Championships and Festival, Sydney, Australia;
  • 2nd All-Russia Contest named after People's Artist of Russia Victor Gridin - 2014, Kursk (1st prize and special prize for the best performance of Victor Gridin's composition), Kursk, Russia;
  • 1st International Festival-Contest "Bayan, Accordion, Harmonica", Moscow, Russia;
  • 8th National Competition "Vivat, Bayan!", Samara, Russia;
  • 6th International Festival and Competition "Accordion Plus", Rostov-on-Don, Russia.

    Despite the fact that now Arseniy lives in Germany and his main artistic activity takes place in Europe, the musician continues giving concerts in his homeland.

    Besides the sole concerts, Arseniy takes part in several unique projects:
    Duo – accordion & saxophone

    In 2016, Arseniy Strokovskiy and multisaxophonist Ivan Dyma created the unique duo SaxAkkord. Although only two musicians are on stage, six different instruments sound: accordion, saxophone soprano, sax alto, saxophone tenor, saxophone baritone and piano.
    The debut album of the duo "Metamorphoses" was released in 2017.

    Concerts with music of different periods from Johann Bach to Astor Piazzolla are always followed by unceasing rush.

    Accordion & contemporary dance
    In 2015 a performance "Black feminity" first appeared on the scene of Moscow Music Hall. This ballet is a fruit of Arseniy’s cooperation with a choreographer Sonya Ovsepyan and her dance company SHDC. The project is a mix of modern choreography and original avant-garde accordion music.
