 Der zweite jährliche World Concertina Day, der von der International Concertina Association veranstaltet wird, findet am 6. Februar 2023 statt, dem Jahrestag der Geburt von Sir Charles Wheatstone. Da dieses Datum auf einen Montag fällt, sind auch Aktivitäten am Wochenende davor (4. und 5. Februar 2023) willkommen.Die ICA ruft alle auf, die sich für Konzertinas interessieren, sich zu beteiligen, indem sie eine Veranstaltung in ihrer Nähe oder online organisieren oder daran teilnehmen möchten. Die Veranstaltung umfasst eine Reihe von Online-Videomitschnitten von Konzerten und Interviews, den March of the Concertinas, Zoom-Sessions, einen Museumstag, der von den West Country Concertina Players gesponsert wird, um der Öffentlichkeit die Welt der Konzertinas im Crewkerne Museum in Somerset, UK, näher zu bringen, Live-Treffen in der ganzen Welt, Workshops, Radio- und Fernsehinterviews, Ausstellungen und vieles mehr.  Coba wird auf dem Yokohama Sound Festival auf der Billboard Live Yokohama Bühne in Yokohama, Japan am 19. September 2022 ab 15 Uhr auftreten. Die Veranstaltung wird vom Exekutivkomitee des Yokohama Arts Festival in Zusammenarbeit mit der Planung organisiert: Promax Co. Ltd. Das Yokohama Sound Festival ist allen Formen der Musik gewidmet, unabhängig von ihrem Genre, und findet alle drei Jahre statt. "Von Pop über Klassik bis hin zu allem, was dazwischen liegt, ist die Veranstaltung eine stolze Feier der Fähigkeit der Musik, Kulturen und Sprachen zu überwinden und Menschen zusammenzubringen."  Die Akkordeonfabrik Scandalli ist Sponsor des Videoarchiv- und Bildungsprojekts, 2022 Coupe Mondiale, 4-9 Oktober, Schweiz.Das "Video Archive Education Project" ist ein Projekt, das 2010 von der Confédération Internationale des Accordéonistes (CIA) mit Unterstützung von Sponsoren und Accordions Worldwide initiiert wurde. Die Videos sollten ca. 1 Stunde nach dem Live-Auftritt oder dem Live-Wettbewerb online sein, und die Zuschauer können sich kostenlos Videos von Coupe Mondiale-Wettbewerben herunterladen, in denen eine breite Palette verschiedener Musikarten und -stile gespielt wird. Das Projekt umfasst ein Video aller Coupe Mondiale-Kategorien und ihrer Teilnehmer, das in den CIA-Archiven in Finnland aufbewahrt wird und in den kommenden Jahren zu einer Fülle historischer Aufnahmen werden wird, einschließlich der Premiere vieler Original-Akkordeonwerke und des Auftretens aufstrebender Künstler beim Coupe Mondiale.   Das 2. Internationale Istanbuler Akkordeonfestival fand vom 19. bis 24. August 2022 in Istanbul, Türkei, statt und wurde von Akorder organisiert.Das Festival umfasste den 1. internationalen Istanbuler Akkordeon- und Balgwettbewerb, den 2. nationalen Akkordeon- und Balgwettbewerb, Meisterkurse, Workshops, ein offenes Ensemble sowie Treue-, Gedenk- und Festivalkonzerte. Zu den Gastmusikern gehörten Aleksa Mirkovic (Serbien), Ruslana Bezpalko (Ukraine), Galimzan Narimbetov (Kasachstan), Skumbin Miftari (Kosovo) und Marsel Numanaj (Albanien). | The 2022 "Ural Cup" International Competition for performers on folk instruments will be held online from October 31st to November 4th, 2022 at the Magnitogorsk State Conservatory (Academy) named after M. I. Glinka in Magnitogorsk, Chelyabinsk, Russia. Applications for participation will be accepted until October 15th, 2022. Accordion program requirements as follows. Categories I, II (up to 10 minutes), III category (up to 12 minutes): 1. Performance with elements of polyphonic presentation. 2. Performance of own choice. 3. Performance of a folk theme or popular melody. Category IV (up to 20 minutes): 1. Polyphonic work (invention, canon, fugue). 2. Work of a large form: sonatina (all movements); sonata - the 1st part (necessarily in sonata form), or the 2nd and 3rd parts of the sonata, or the entire sonata; suite or partita - at least three parts; concert or part of a concert. 3. Performance of own choice. Categories V, VI, VII, VIII (up to 30 minutes): 1. A polyphonic piece with a fugue for at least 3 voices. 2. Work of a large form: sonatina (all movements); sonata - the 1st part (necessarily in sonata form), or the 2nd and 3rd parts of the sonata, or the entire sonata; suite or partita - at least three parts; concert or part of a concert. 3.  It gives me great pleasure to announce that I have completed the expansion of yet another of my 22 original articles on the AAA commissioned concert works each of which appeared annually in the AAA Festival Journal between 1997 and 2019. This article examines the Adagio and Rondo Concertante, for two accordions & orchestra, by Paul Pisk, and Sonatina, for solo accordion, by David Diamond. http://www.ameraccord.com/aaacommissions8.php As with my previous revisions, this one adds more historical and analytical information than was in the original article plus the new and much needed feature of musical examples. Regarding the latter, a new element in this latest revision is the presence of sound files to accompany the musical excerpts of the Pisk work, thus allowing the reader to hear the excerpts while viewing them in print. | “Itrio” will perform their debut concert at the Koncertkirken in Copenhagen, Denmark on September 19th, 2022, from 7.30pm to 9.30pm organised by the Det Kongelige Danske Musikkonservatorium (DKDM). The ensemble consists of three Icelandic accordionists: Helga Kristbjörg Guðmundsdóttir, Jón Þorsteinn Reynisson and Jónas Ásgeir Ásgeirsson. In addition to the trio, accordionist Flemming Viðar Valmundsson will also perform.  Zoe Tiganouria will perform a concert with the L’anima String Quartet" entitled “Tango of Life” at the 1st Festival of the Attica Region in Attiko Alsos, Greece on September 19th, 2022 at 9pm.The event, organized by the Region of Attica, is a “goodbye to summer” and concludes a successful tour of 23 summer concerts throughout Greece by Zoe Tiganouria. | The Lemon Bucket Orkestra (from Canada) will perform at the 29th annual Lotus World Music & Arts Festival held in downtown Bloomington, Indiana, USA from September 22nd to 25th, 2022. The festival will include over 20 international artist groups, arts, food, dance, and workshops. Free activities include Arts Village downtown, Lotus in the Park at Switchyard Park on Saturday 24th, and the Lotus Local Stage which presents local bands with a global connection. The Lemon Bucket Orkestra is Toronto’s only Balkan-Klezmer-Gypsy-Party-Punk Super-Band and includes accordionist and vocalist Marichka Marczyk. |

Coupe Mondiale in Zofingen vom 4. bis 9. Oktober 2022."Auch wenn der verheerende Krieg in der Ukraine und Covid noch immer Probleme bereiten, ist dieser zweite "Live-Coupe Mondiale" mit Live-Jury und -Wettkämpfern bei den Lehrern und Teilnehmern offensichtlich sehr beliebt. Darüber hinaus hat die CIA 60 Delegiertenanmeldungen von 29 nationalen Mitgliedern für den internationalen CIA-Kongress erhalten, wobei viele Delegierte auch als Juroren für die Coupe Mondiale Akkordeon-Weltmeisterschaften teilnehmen.
