Tchaikovsky Concert Hall Memorial Concert - Russiaby Yulia Amerikova |
On Tuesday 6th October at the Tchaikovsky Concert Hall, a concert was held in memory of the outstanding Russian conductor Nikolai Kalinin, who was the leader of Osipov’s Russian folk orchestra (NA ONIR named after Osipov) from 1979 to 2004. The concert included two Russian folk instrument orchestras - Volga Russian Folk Orchestra named after Kalinin and NA ONIR named after Osipov – as well as well-known Russia performers and singers. One of the highlights of the concert was the performance of the unique bayan ensemble performing the famous "Skaz o Tihom Done” from “Don Raphsody” by Viatcheslav Semionov accompanied by the Volga RFO. The ensemble included the outstanding bayanist and People's Artist of Russia Viatcheslav Semionov and his students, winners of international competitions, Alexander Selivanov, Yuri Medianik, Stanislav Malyshev, Yulia Amerikova, Danil Stadnyuk and Maxim Fedorov. The performance was warmly embraced by the Moscow public. |
