 ‘Accordions at Witney’ is an accordion tuition weekend, February 22nd and 23rd, held at the Henry Box School, Witney – a market town situated 12 miles west of Oxford. The tuition is aimed at developing playing techniques through various styles of folk dance music. The teachers are Murray Grainger, Paul Hutchinson, Becky Price and Dave Townsend. The course units include: Murray Grainger (Understanding Harmony, New Tunes for Accordion), Paul Hutchinson (Gems from the Dancing Masters, Feeling the Squeeze), Becky Price (Central French Dance Music, The Boldwood Sound), Dave Townsend (Right-hand Accompaniments and Harmonies, Northern Band).
