During the opening of a new season of Sit Fast Concerts, the Black Pencil ensemble will perform 1,000 years of music and present their new CD "Schokland". The concert will take place at Stadsherstel, Amstelkerk, Amsterdam, Netherlands on October 18th, 2023, from 8.15pm. Black Pencil will perform music from the 11th to the 21st century, from beautiful compositions by Von Bingen to two world premieres by Aart Strootman and Meriç Artaç. Black Pencil started a multi-year collaboration with UNESCO World Heritage Schokland in 2022. Schokland is a unique combination of cultural history and nature, in the middle of the Noordoostpolder Netherlands.
