 Оркестр русских народных инструментов "Дон",дирижер Крикор Хурдаян и Александр ПоелуевВ Ростове - на - Дону с 31 марта по 2 апреля проходил 3й Международный Фестиваль "Аккордеон Плюс" в рамках которого проводился II Открытый юношеский конкурс исполнителей на баяне, аккордеоне. Еще в 2005 году были сделаны первые шаги на пути к возникновению Фестиваля, который объединил бы профессиональных исполнителей и любителей аккордеона. Первым в Ростов приехал один из лучших джазовых аккордеонистов Арт Ванн Дам, чье мастерство заставило зрителей устроить бурные овации, подобный теплый прием каждого из гостей стал доброй традицией. Это в своих интервью не раз отмечали все те, кто выступал в Ростове по инициативе Международного Музыкального центра "Гармония": Френк Марокко, Ален Музикини, Ренцо Руджиери, Василий Пьянов, Геннадий Калмыков, и многие многие другие... А в 2010 1й Международный Фестиваль "Аккордеон Плюс" распахнул свои двери для многочисленных участников и зрителей. Фестиваль 2011 года поддержало Управление Культуры города и в программу впервые вошел конкурс исполнителей. "Аккордеон Плюс" 2012 в своей яркости ничуть не уступает двум предыдущим. Череда незабываемых событий все три дня не давала спокойно вздохнуть ни организаторам ни участникам фестиваля. График был был на столько плотным, что времени едва хватало на сон... Утро 31марта ознаменовалось прибытием гостей фестиваля и аккредитацией участников конкурса. Еще не были зарегистрированы все участники конкурса, как начался открытый мастер-класс аккордеониста из Сербии Славко Митровича, атмосфера в зале была на столько творческой и непринужденной, что не смотря на языковой барьер, многое было понятно без слов. По завершению, все с нетерпением ждали концерта, до начала которого оставалось всего пару часов. За час до концерта холл был полон зрителей, внимаю которых были представлены раритетные и современные баяны, аккордеоны и гармони. Концерт еще не начался, а в воздухе витала атмосфера праздника, люди играли на инструментах, с удовольствием пели и танцевали. Первым на сцену вышел Сербский коллектив под руководством Славко Митровича. Ансамбль Сербской Народной музыки очаровал всех зрителей уникальной палитрой звуков и колоритными образами. Во втором отделении концерта звучал оркестр русских народных инструментов "Дон" под руководством Крикора Хурдояна. Произведения совершенно разных характеров и настроений сменяли друг друга, не давая зрителям опомниться, среди солистов были такие известные аккордеонисты, как Славко Митрович,Александр Поелуев и Алексей Шалыгин. До поздней ночи в зале не смолкали музыка и аплодисменты. 1 апреля не смотря на традицию беспрерывно шутить, в зале ДМШ им. Чайковского развернулась далеко не шуточная борьба на II Открытом юношеском конкурсе исполнителей на баяне, аккордеоне. В конкурсе приняли участие более 60 человек, среди них был представитель Германии, а так же конкурсанты из разных уголков России. Конкурсные прослушивания продолжались с 9 утра до 8 вечера,а совещание беспристрастного жюри, под председательством лауреата международных конкурсов А. Поелуева, затянулось до поздней ночи. 2 апреля в Городском Доме Творчества состоялось награждение участников и лауреатов конкурса ценными призами и подарками, но не только этим запомнился день. За награждением последовал мастер класс гостей из Италии: дирижера – Роберто Молинелли и исполнителя на баяне и бандонеоне - Марио Стефано Пьетродарки, который сменился презентацией инструментов фабрик «Тульская гармонь», «Акко», “Rolland“ представил свой электронный инструмент, а мастер-класс о специфике звукозаписи аккордеона в различных условиях провел Преподаватель РГК им. Рахманинова Роман Щёголь. В завершение программы Фестиваля в Ростовской Областной Филармонии прошел концерт под названием «Кино и Танго» в нем принимали участие: Ростовский филармонический симфонический оркестр дирижер – Роберто Молинелли (Италия), солист - Марио Стефано Пьетродарки (Италия). Зал был буквально переполнен желающими прикоснуться к прекрасному, и не всем хватило кресел, были даже те, кто был готов простоять весь концерт на балконе. И ожидания были оправданы: музыка была на столько прекрасна, что публика снова и снова вызывая музыкантов на «бис», требовала продолжения. Не желая отпускать гостей, зрители аплодировали стоя. Бессменным ведущим концертов был президент международного музыкального центра «Гармония», заслуженный артист России, маэстро Юрий Васильевич Шишкин. Он своей гармоничной речью не только не давал зрителям отвлечься ни на одно мгновение, но и еще больше подогревал их интерес, увлекая в захватывающее путешествие по удивительному океану музыки. Все три дня, перед концертами, во время конкурса и антрактов работала выставка раритетных и современных инструментов, где каждый желающий мог не только посмотреть на все экспонаты, но и «попробовать их на зуб», пообщаться с мастерами-изготовителями и представителями фабрик. И, кто знает, может договориться о покупке нового инструмента. Еще долго участники и гости фестиваля будут обмениваться впечатлениями о трех днях проведенных в теплой дружеской и творческой атмосфере. И надеемся, что многие из них посетят нас в следующем году, на 4м Международном Фестивале «Аккордеон Плюс» в конце 2013. Авторы: Елизавета Седлова, Анастасия Могучева.  Немецкий национальный аккордеонный конкурс Deutsche Akkordeon-Musikpreis для солистов, дуэтов, трио, камерной музыки и ансамблей (до 11 участников) пройдет в Брухзале (Bruschal) с 7 по 10 июня 2012 года.Мероприятие организовано Deutscher Harmonika-Verband e.V. (DHV) и участники уже отобраны на государственных конкурсах, которые открыты для всех немецких студентов. Соревнования исполнителей камерной музыки проходят каждые 3 года. В 2012 году конкурс впервые пройдет в Брухзале с его великолепным дворцом в стиле барокко, который располагает достаточным количеством репетиционных и конкурсных помещений.  Если вы думаете, что видели и слышали почти все – значит, вы думали, как и я!Прогуливаясь по выставке Frankfurt Musikmesse в этом году, я имела удовольствие увидеть замечательные новые инструменты и MIDI-оборудование, выдающихся аккордеонистов на всех стендах выставки, и вдруг увидела что-то, чего я раньше никогда не видела или, лучше сказать, не слышала. Двое больших молодых и красивых парней – один из которых, одетый «по особенному», заставил меня поднять от удивления брови, а другой – с гламурно декорированным аккордеоном – заставил произнести "хм". Я говорю «хм», потому что на самом деле зрелище было необычным! Заинтригованная, я остановилась и была права: такого я раньше не слышала... голос, превосходно сильный, покрывший большую аудиторию без любых усиления, звучал в абсолютной гармонии с аккордеоном. Фото справа с автором посередине. Серьезная музыкальная подготовка Романа Д. Метцнера (Roman D. Metzner – аккордеон, вокал) и Аарона Перри (Aaron Perry – профессиональный классический певец), которые создали дуэт под названием “The Royal Squeeze Box”, очаровала аудиторию, а их выступление напомнило о группе Queen с посвящением легендарному Фредди Меркьюри. Шоу двоих музыкантов, состоящее из одного аккордеона и двух голосов, заменило рок-группу, оркестр, хор, будучи при этом в состоянии выступить где угодно, на любой площадке от уличных выступлений до огромных сцен! “Living on My Own“, "Bohemian Rhapsody" и многие другие композиции, не исключая, конечно, "We Are The Champions" – правильные слова для этого нового и свежего формата, где классика встречается с поп-культурой, где вокал дополняет звук аккордеона, где память встречается с настоящим и где мечты встречаются с реальностью. | The NAO UK Championships 2012 this year has moved to a new venue – the Adelphi Hotel in Liverpool. The event is to be held from 27th – 29th April and NAO Chairperson, Anna Bodell is pleased that it has attracted some 250 entries from across the United Kingdom including Orchestras from Northern Ireland, Scotland and England. This year, as well as the Instrumental and Music Trade exhibitions, the festival will incorporate the UK Qualifying sections for the CIA Coupe Mondiale 2012 to be held in Spoleto Italy in August, the National Finals of the Roland V Competition in conjunction with Roland UK in which the UK Representative for the 6th International Roland competition will be selected, the NAO Composers’ Competition as well as the diverse Solo, Duo and Ensembles categories which go to make up this renowned UK competition. Saturday will also feature the traditional Scottish Celidh and Annual General Meeting of the Organisation.  15 апреля 2012 года заканчивается прием заявок на участие в международном конкурсе South Pacific Accordion Championships & Festival, который состоится в Окленде в субботу и воскресенье 2 и 3 июня 2012 года. Скачать проспект 2012 NZ Prospectus.В международном конкурсе будут различные категории солистов, а фестивальные концерты открыты для аккордеона в любых сочетаниях, включая оркестры. Выдающийся центр искусств Raye Freedman Arts Centre с его отличной акустикой, освещением и современным оборудованием является идеальным местом для проведения этого мероприятия. Новозеландская Аккордеонная Ассоциация (NZAA) также хотела бы прорекламировать открытие замечательной выставки под названием «От Уэйкфилда до Мейсфилда» ('From Wakefield to Masefield'). Это история аккордеона в Новой Зеландии с 1839 года, когда исследователь и аккордеонист Эдвард Уэйкфилд прибыл в Новую Зеландию, до Грейсона Мейсфилда – первого победителя «Кубка мира» и обладателя титула Чемпиона мира из Новой Зеландии. From April 3rd to 5th the international accordion competition ‘Ascoltate’ was held, for the 10th time, in Kaunas, Lithuania. In various categories (solo for classical and entertainment, duo, ensemble, orchestra and chamber music) candidates from 7 countries - Lithuania, Poland, Russia, Latvia, Belarus, Ukraine, Bosnia-Herzegovina - faced an international jury consisting of K. Stonkus, E. Gabnys (Lithuania), H. Scheibenreif (Austria), D. Rakic (Bosnia-Hercegovina), V. Pligovka (Belarus) and S. Kacans (Latvia). In particular the younger participants performed with much devotion and enthusiasm, and the level of their presentations was really astonishing, and in addition the programs (usually a polyphonic work, an original and a virtuoso piece) were played exclusively by heart. The winner of each category was rewarded the ‘Grand Prix’, which had to be divided in the highest category: both V. Bendas (Ukraine) and S. Petuch (Belarus) charmed both jury and public by their presentations. In an evening concert Vladislav Pligovka (picture right), winner of several international competitions, showed his outstanding abilities not only as a classical accordionist but also on the musette accordion. All in all, M. Labanauskas and G. Lukošiene as organizers of ‘Ascoltate 2012’ were delighted about the huge success of their event. | Quirky of New York, USA, has designed a collapsable accordion toaster what can save precious counter space. Like the accordion bellows, it can be squeezed down to a mere 2.5-inches wide so it's easy to store. See pictures above. With the toaster fully expanded you get your standard pair of toasting slots big enough to handle even bagels. Is there a failsafe to stop the toaster being used in the closed position? If not, it could well become one super hot accordion product, if turned on while closed! Another new product is the gama-go.com accordion file (pictured right). The company text reads: "Bring Harmony to your filing with the Accordion File! This letter-sized accordion folder puts a melodic spin on an office classic."  Aleksandar Kolovski, born 1990 in Skopje, Macedonia, has had a number of competition successes in the last two years. Aleksandar Kolovski? has enjoyed several high profile concerts in Skopje, including the 65th IASTE Conference, the opening of a new French Institute, and for the Macedonian Olympic Committee. During the latter concert, Aleksandar was introduced to the the President of Macedonia George Ivanov and the Macedonian Minister for Culture Elizabeta Kanceska–Milevska, who congratulated him on his international competition successes in 2011 and offered assistance for his future competition plans. | The Accordions Worldwide news for April 10th 1998 included a report on the recent accordion festival in Blackpool, organized by Tom Duncan. One of the British accordion scene’s great unsung yet most prolific festival organizers, Tom Duncan, a retired Police Chief Superintendent, presented many top national and international accordionists at his festivals, such as Frank Marocco, Peter Soave, Barbara Ann Martindale, Gervasio Marcosignori, Jorgen Sundeqvist, Oivind Farmen, David Lukins, Dermot O’Brien, Seamus Shannon, and many more. INTERNATIONAL ACCORDION FESTIVAL - ENGLAND Contributed by David Batty The International Accordion Festival was held from March 26th to 30th at Pontins Holiday Centre, Lytham St Annes, Blackpool, Lancashire, England. There was a great variety of accordion entertainment including Steve Roxton (Jersey) who also demonstrated the accordion at Trade stalls. Barbara Ann Martindale (Canada) played a selection of classical pieces and presented a master class. Also performing were The Alexander Brothers, Alexander Korbakov (Russia), Roberto Enzo (Italy), Johnny Duncan and various accordion orchestras. Gary Blair (Scotland) with his ceilidh dance band provided dance music every evening. George Hicks organised a buskers workshop and the accordion auction included the sale of a 156-year-old instrument. |

| The Baillies Mills Accordion Band perform in concert with the local Harmony Ladies Choir on April 14th, at the Island Hall, Lisburn, Northern Ireland. The local choir will be joined by German Choir FrauenTerz from Ladenburg, Germany. The Baillies Mills Accordion Band, from Cargycroy, Lisburn, County Antrim, was founded in June 1939 to provide music for a fete. The band was formed by four local brothers named Campbell, aided by the local families of Patterson, Hilland, Pettigrew and Mackin, each of whom had two members each in the band. By 1977 band funds were so low that a meeting was called to discuss the seriousness of the situation, and it was agreed that a concert should be planned, to be held in Carryduff Unionist Hall in February, 1978. This concert was so successful that it continues annually to the present day, now held in Ballynahinch Leisure Centre every November. To celebrate its 60th birthday in 1999 the Baillies Mills Band played at the Belfast Waterfront before a capacity audience, with several supporting artists. They returned again to the Waterfront to celebrate 70 years in existence, in 2009. Since 1978 the Band has made 5 albums and a DVD which recorded the Band's visit to Bergen, Norway, in 2010. Other visits include 4 trips to Scotland, and shorter tours for weekends to Fermanagh, and several locations in Donegal. | Texas Folklife is pleased to announce the names of the eight young squeezeboxers who will advance to the semifinal stage of the sixth annual Big Squeeze accordion contest: Peter Anzaldua, 15, of Brownsville; Candice Cerda, 17, of San Benito; Omar Garza, 17, of Mission; Luis Gonzales, 16, of Grand Prairie; Zeth Lara, 12, of San Benito; Juan Longoria III, 11, of Brownsville (son of 2007 champion!); Michael Ramos, 16, of Dallas; Isaiah Tellez, 13, of Pasadena. The Big Squeeze 2012 semifinals for up-and-coming musicians will be held in Austin at The Bob Bullock Texas State History Museum on Saturday, April 28. Emceeing this year’s semifinals contest will be Joe Nick Patoski, iconic Texas author and Texas Folklife’s emcee for the annual Accordion Kings & Queens Festival. Each semifinalist will play two songs and the judges will choose up to four finalists afterward. Finalists will then compete before the large, enthusiastic audience of accordion fans at the Accordion Kings & Queens Festival on June 2. This is the 23rd annual "Accordion Kings & Queens," and it just might be the very best, ever! So put on your dancing shoes and bring your friends, family and a picnic to Miller Outdoor Theatre in Houston for the best, free squeezefest on the planet!
