 Всемирный День Аккордеона отмечается ежегодно 6 мая множеством событий, связанных с аккордеоном и происходящих вблизи этой даты. 6 мая 1829 Кирилл Дамиан (это англизированная версия его имени Cyrillius Demien),органный мастер, родившийся в Армении, запатентовал в Вене, Австрия, свою первую версию аккордеона.Кирилл Дамиан и его современники, которые занимались созданием первых гармоник, которые также известны как flutinas, были бы, несомненно, поражены тем, насколько впоследствии развился аккордеон, и как этот инструмент процветает во всем мире. Мы же со своей стороны ради наших предков должны сегодня способствовать развитию нашего инструмента насколько возможно.  В 2010 году по инициативе кафедры баяна и аккордеона РАМ им. Гнесиных был учрежден ежегодный Всероссийский День баяна, аккордеона и гармоники. Баян, аккордеон и гармоника всегда были любимы и популярны в России. И на фронтах ВОВ, и в праздничных и свадебных застольях это были незаменимые спутники нашего быта. Новый импульс был придан народным инструментам в 1948 г., когда впервые в мире в ГМПИ (ныне РАМ) им. Гнесиных был открыт одноимённый факультет. И с тех пор на протяжении многих десятилетий баянисты и аккордеонисты России удерживают пальму первенства на престижных международных конкурсах. В целях дальнейшей популяризации нашего искусства и придания ему нового импульса кафедра баяна и аккордеона РАМ им. Гнесиных выступила с инициативой учреждения ежегодного Всероссийского Дня баяна, аккордеона и гармоники. С 2010 года этот праздник проводится в Москве, Нижнем Новгороде, Новомосковске, Туле, Воронеже, Саратове, Красноярске, Новосибирске, Челябинске, Еманжелинске, Кургане, Самаре, Екатеринбурге, Владивостоке и многих других крупных и малых городах России. В перспективе этот День должен стать частью национального проекта в области культуры. Нам представляется, что в поисках национальной идеи очень важно поддерживать инициативы по сохранению традиций и достижений нашей многонациональной страны, тем более, что этот праздник будет играть огромную объединяющую роль. В 2012 году праздник пройдет 17 марта. А накануне, 16 марта, в концертном зале РАМ имени Гнесиных по инициативе кафедры и учреждённой в декабре 2011 года Межрегиональной ассоциации бпянистов и аккордеонистов состоится «Интродукция» к Празднику - уникальный концерт сильнейших баянистов и аккордеонистов мира - концерт победителей крупнейших международных конкурсов 2011 года «Золотые призёры 2011 года».: Ненад Иванович – 1 премия на конкурсе в Кастельфидардо, 1 премия на конкурсе «Кубок мира» в Шанхае (Китай), Иосиф Пуриц (Россия) – 1 премия на конкурсе в Аррасате (Испания), Тибо Троссэ (Франция) – 1 премия в Клингентале (Германия), Ху Ксианан (Китай) – 1 премия на конкурсе «Трофей мира» в Пинето (Италия). Исполнитель, набравший наибольшее количество голосов публики, получит Приз зрительских симпатий и примет участие в основном концерте 17 марта. Призёр – Ненад Иванович Играли все трое.  С 23 по 25 марта в концертном зале Oma Tupa в Икаалинене прошел 40-й Национальный аккордеонный конкурс для детей и юношества, в котором приняли участие более 100 музыкантов в 6 категориях. Мероприятие было организовано Ассоциацией Преподавателей Аккордеона Финляндии и Финской Аккордеонной Ассоциацией (SHL).В категории А18 Туомас Поутанен (Tuomas Poutanen) и Микко Малин (Mikko Malin) – на фото слева – были отобраны, чтобы представлять Финляндию на конкурсе «Кубок мира 2012» в Сполето. Дуэт AccoDuo - победители 14 международного конкурса International Web Concert Hall Competition – СШАby Rob Howard |
 Ивана и Миран Вапотич (Ivana and Miran Vaupotich) из Хорватии, известные как AccoDuo, недавно были объявлены победителями 14-ого Международного конкурса International Web Concert Hall Competition, который состоялся в США. Конкурс открыт для всех национальностей, всех возрастов, для всех оркестровых музыкантов и камерных ансамблей.На конкурс поступила 41 заявка с 3-х континентов: 17 солистов и 24 ансамбля. Второе место завоевал фортепианный дуэт из Украины в составе Ольга Чипак и Олексий Кушнир. С момента создания дуэта в 2004 году, ансамбль “AccoDuo” (муж и жена Ивана и Миран Вапотич) стал одним из самых перспективных классических аккордеонных дуэтов. В программе AccoDuo – эклектичное смешение музыкальных стилей, их репертуар включает в себя оригинальные произведения, переложения музыки различных эпох, а также популярную и фольклорную музыку. Ивана Левак и Миран Вапотич встретились в Загребе во время учебы. Они оба получил степень магистра в университете University of Juraj Dobrila в городе Пула, Хорватия.  Serbian accordionist Peter Maric, winner of the Coupe Mondiale in 2010, has just completed a concert tour in Portugal where he presented to the audience, a “new wave of electronic music” using the Roland accordion.Concerts were: March 23rd at Estoi (Faro); March 24th - Cadillac Bar, Quarteira; March 25th - Nuclegarve, Ferreiras; March 26th - Santa Clara, Almodovar; March 30th - O Museu, Boliquieme; March 31st - Auditorio Municipal, Albufeira; April 1st - Murilha Bar, Lourigna. Petar Maric wrote that “The new project with electronic music was very well received by the audience”, and “I had a fantastic opportunity to play with one of the living legends of Portugal music, Augenia Lima, 86 years old accordionist”. Roland Serbia have nominated Petar Maric to represent Serbia at the 6th Roland V-Accordion International Festival, November 9th and 10th in Rome, Italy. |

 The Accordions Worldwide news for April 3rd 1998 announced that US accordionist Henry Doktorski had recorded a CD of music composed by George Gershwin. He notes that the very first radio broadcast of ‘Rhapsody in Blue’, in 1924, featured accordion. Was the accordionist Mario Perry, a member of the Paul Whiteman Orchestra? Whiteman commissioned Gershwin to compose ‘Rhapsody in Blue’, and his orchestra performed the world premiere on February 12th 1924 at the Aeolian Hall, New York, with Gershwin as the pianist. CD FOR GERSHWIN LOVERS - USA Contributed by Henry Doktorski Accordionist Henry Doktorski has just finished his first recording session with the Duquesne University Chamber Ensemble of Gershwin's compositions, including ‘Rhapsody in Blue’. Henry believes "the Rhapsody has been performed many times with accordion, but the most amazing performance using accordion instead of piano was the very first radio broadcast of the Rhapsody in 1924!" The Rhapsody has become a staple of the accordion repertoire, and it has inspired other composers to write works for accordion and orchestra. The CD is scheduled for release on Gershwin's 100th birthday, September 26th 1998. |

 The ‘2012 Academy Festival des Arcs’ takes place, July 21st to 31st, in Les Arcs, a ski resort located in Savoie, in the south of France. The event involves tuition on accordion and a wide range of orchestral instruments. Bruno Maurice is the accordion teacher.  A revival of ‘Evita’ opened on April 5th at the Marquis Theatre on Broadway, New York, starring Elena Roger and Ricky Martin, and featuring accordionist Eddie Monteiro. The show is running at the Marquis Theatre until December 30th 2012. ‘Evita’ is a musical with music by Andrew Lloyd Webber and lyrics by Tim Rice, set in Argentina and based on the life of Eva Perón, the wife of President Juan Perón. The story follows Evita's early life, rise to power, charity work, and eventual death. ‘Evita’, written in 1976, has been a major worldwide success, and was filmed in 1996, starring Maddona and Antonio Banderas. The well-known and highly regarded jazz musician Eddie Monteiro, widely known for his entertaining style, has over 30 years of musical performance in classical music, jazz, dance, theater and cabaret. He is the youngest honoree ever elected to the American Accordionists’ Association Hall of Fame in 1994.?Eddie Monteiro has performed at jazz festivals throughout the world and resides in East Hanover, New Jersey, where he is a K-8 music teacher in the Newark School system and uses his accordion in his classroom music teaching.  The competition ‘Prix International de l’accordéon Luxembourg’, organized by Accart a.s.b.l., takes place on Sunday October 14th, 5pm, at the Conservatory in Luxembourg. The event is for players from Luxembourg, Germany, France and Belgium, and is organized by Maurizio Spiridigliozzi, Professor pf Accordion at the Conservatory of Luxembourg.Candidates are invited to send a hand written application plus a DVD or a video on a USB stick, with a varied program of 10 to 20 minutes duration, to Maurizio Spiridigliozzi, 78, rte de Diekirch, L-7220 Walferdange, Luxembourg.  ‘Akkordeonale 2012’ is a touring accordion concert party, formed by Dutch accordionist Servais Haanen (picture top right). The players come from different countries and represent a variety of accordion types and genres. This year’s show is a colourful mix of Argentine tango, Balkan gypsy, Styrian jazz and Scottish folk, mixed with Haanen’s musical aesthetic and humour. | The Kilfenora Céilí Band are playing their first ever concert in Kerry on Saturday April 8th, 8.30pm until 11.30pm, at the I.N.E.C Center, Muckross Road, Killarney. This will coincide with the release of their new CD 'Chapter 8' and will include pieces from the new album, dynamic arranged pieces and of course reels and jigs in true traditional style. The West Clare Set Dancers will also be on the show. Formed in 1909, The Kilfenora Céilí Band is Ireland’s oldest ceili band, based in Kilfenora, County Clare. Currently a 10 piece ensemble, the line-up includes Tim Collins and Claire Griffin on accordions. |
