 Reportage photo complet : 2023MacedoniaDepuis le tout début en 2009, le projet international du 6 mai, La Journée mondiale de l'accordéon (World Accordion Day - WAD) a été soutenu par l'Association macédonienne des accordéonistes "Ljubiteli na klasichna muzika" (MAA) de Skopje à travers divers animations musicales et concerts à succès en Macédoine et à l'étranger. . Cette année, pour la 15e fois, l'association macédonienne a organisé un concert solennel pour marquer la date et célébrer l'anniversaire de notre instrument. Le concert de la WAD a eu lieu le 6 mai dans la salle de musique chambre de la Philharmonie de Skopje, dans une atmosphère merveilleuse. Le concert a mis en vedette des artistes renommés et des étudiants en accordéon de la classe du professeur Zorica Karakutovska à travers des œuvres de Semionov, Hendl, Grieg, Bete Ilin, Piazzolla, etc. L'hôte de l'événement était le très populaire présentateur de télévision macédonien Ognen Janeski qui a également interprété la chanson napolitaine Santa Lucia accompagnée de Laoshi (professeur de Chimes), Zorica Karakutovska à l'accordéon et Aleksandar Kotevski au violoncelle. Le point culminant du concert du jubilé a été la première interprétation de la composition "Macedonian Paraphrase" de Bete Ilin pour ensemble d'accordéon et percussions. L'ensemble était composé des professeurs d'accordéon Zorica Karakutovska, Filip Gavrilovski, Filip Petreski, David Velkov et Gjorgje Ciric, et des percussionnistes de l'Orchestre philharmonique macédonien, Atanas Aleksov et Blagoja Antovski. L'auditorium accueillit un public très enthousiaste qui a applaudit les musiciens à bâtons rompus. La salle est un lieu de grande qualité que les artistes ont pleinement mis à profit et l’enthousiasme du public à la fin du concert a récompensé les efforts de tous les interprètes et organisateurs du WAD 2023. Lors du concert de cette année, MAA a eu le privilège d'avoir la présence du président de la Confédération Internationale des Accordéonistes (CIA) Mirco Patarini d'Italie et de Lyu Bin de Chine, comme invités spéciaux. Le concert de gala WAD au cours des dernières années et en 2023, est devenu un événement culturel et artistique important, promu comme l'un des événements les plus prestigieux du mois de mai en Macédoine et aussi à l'étranger, grâce à une diffusion mondiale du concert. Cette année, le concert sera diffusé à la télévision dans le cadre de la célébration de la fête nationale du 24 mai, Ss. Cyrille et Méthode. Ce projet a été soutenu par le programme national du ministère de la Culture de la République de Macédoine du Nord. Et en parlant d'accordéon, n'oubliez pas d'apporter le vôtre pour jouer avec l'orchestre du festival 2023 dirigé par Joan Cochran Sommers, chef d'orchestre de renommée mondiale ! Grayson Masefield (Nouvelle-Zélande) se joindra à nous pour des représentations et des ateliers. Très avenant et parlant bien, Grayson a remporté et été lauréat de plus d'une douzaine de concours internationaux d'accordéon dans le monde entier, dans les catégories classique, divertissement et numérique. Il est actuellement professeur de musique instrumentale pour l'accordéon à l'université d'Auckland, en Nouvelle-Zélande. Un autre invité spécial sera la légende de l'accordéon Joey Miskulin (États-Unis). Intronisé au Country Music Hall of Fame en 2018 pour ses extraordinaires réalisations à l'accordéon piano, et récemment lauréat du Lifetime Achievement Award de l'AAA, Joey continue de ravir les auditeurs avec ses "doigts volants" et sa capacité à capter l'attention du public. Vous cherchez encore plus de divertissement ? Ne cherchez pas plus loin que Mario Tacca, ancien champion de l'AAA et artiste en résidence de l'AAA, qui se produira en solo lors du concert de gala du vendredi soir, et avec la célèbre chanteuse Mary Mancini lors du dîner du jeudi soir. Plusieurs orchestres d'accordéon sont déjà prévus, notamment l'Accordion Pops Orchestra dirigé par Al Terzo, le Westmont Philharmonia Accordion Orchestra dirigé par Joanna Darrow et le Busso Festival Orchestra dirigé par Frank Busso Jr. L'orchestre des jeunes sera dirigé cette année par Joanna Darrow, qui a consacré toute sa vie à l'interprétation, à l'enseignement et à la promotion de l'accordéon. Elle s'est produite à plusieurs reprises avec l'Orchestre de Philadelphie et a joué dans toute l'Europe pendant plus de 30 ans avec son professeur d'accordéon et mari, feu Stanley Darrow. Arseniy Strokovskiy Professeur à l'Université de Musique de Würzburg - Allemagneby Ivan Dyma, SaxAkkord Duo |
  Félicitations à Arseniy Strokovskiy (basé en Allemagne) pour sa nomination comme professeur à l'Université de Musique de Würzburg en Allemagne, où il donnera des cours sur la méthodologie de l'accordéon.Arseniy est diplômé d’un master de concertiste de cette même Université. En 2016, Arseniy Strokovskiy et le multisaxophoniste Ivan Dyma ont créé le duo unique SaxAkkord. Bien que seulement deux musiciens soient sur scène, on entend six instruments: accordéon, saxophone soprano, sax alto, saxophone ténor, saxophone baryton et piano. Le premier album du duo SaxAkkord "Metamorphoses" est sorti en 2017. Arseniy Strokovskiy est lauréat du : 53ème Concours International d'Accordéon, Klingenthal, Allemagne; 23ème Concours International d'Accordéon "Arrasate Hiria", Arrasate-Mondragon, Espagne; 68ème Concours International de la Coupe Mondiale pour solistes d'accordéon, Turku, Finlande; 40ème Prix International d'Accordéon Castelfidardo pour solistes et ensemble. |

 Vidéo : Claude Thomain interprète sa composition "L'enfant Démon" au CNIMA.Compositeur, chef d'orchestre, accordéoniste et professeur au CNIMA, Claude Thomain est décédé cette semaine en France. Le CNIMA a écrit : « Nous rendons hommage au musicien, compositeur, chef d'orchestre, mais aussi à l'homme d'exception qu'il futt. Gentil, humble, discret, généreux, sensible et plein d'humour. Merci Claude pour tout ce que tu as apporté au monde de l'accordéon, pour ces grands et beaux moments inoubliables partagés au CNIMA et tes concerts exceptionnels qui nous ont fait pleurer d'émotion. Au nom de l'accordéon, des accordéonistes et de tous les musiciens, merci. Tu seras à jamais dans nos pensées et nos coeurs. Les belles notes de tes compositions où mélodie et harmonie sont du meilleur goût, continueront de résonner au CNIMA et dans le monde. » Claude a également été chef d'orchestre de l'Orchestre d'Accordéons de Savoie pendant de nombreuses années. Ses obsèques ont eu lieu le 12 mai 2023 en l'église Saint-Martin d'Épieds, Hauts-de-France, France. |

Tonino and his sister Daniela began as children, "helping" in the family Alessandrini manufacturing business and have continued all their lives (picture right). Lithuania: Composer Bete Ilin celebrated World Accordion Day with the Kaunas State Philharmonic, sharing the stage with colleague Laimonas Salijus who performed a premiere by composer Arvydas Malcys. Musicians of the VDU Kamerinis orkestras / VMU Chamber orchestra and Maestro Vytautas Lukocius performing Bete Ilin’s “The New Tomorrow” for the very first time in Lithuania and “Rhapsody in Blue” by George Gershwin (picture left).  The Akkordeongruppe Münstertal e.V. concert orchestra conducted by Silke D'Inka took part in the district meeting for accordion orchestra in the DHV district "Breisgau" on May 7th, 2023.The event saw 11 accordion orchestras and ensembles with over 200 active players participating in these rankings in different categories, judged by Uta Borho, stellv. BW State Director and Johannes Baumann, BW State Director. The Akkordeongruppe Münstertal e.V. concert orchestra took part in the "Adult Orchestra Higher Level" category with the pieces "Werziade IV" by Fritz Dobler and "Grlica" by Stevan Hristic. With a “fantastic 46 points” and the high score "outstanding", the concert orchestra was awarded “District Champion for the 5th time for its performance (winning previously in 2011, 2015, 2017 and 2019). | Video: “Redbud Winter” by Will Holshouser. The video above is the new commission of the American Accordionists' Association (AAA) composed by Will Holshouser, and this was the first AAA commission to be performed on a world tour. "Redbud Winter" is performed by Eric Vloeimans, trumpet and Will Holshouser, accordionist and composer. “Redbud Winter”: a cold snap in early spring when the redbud trees begin to blossom (expression used in Tennessee). In memoriam Cynthia Shoemaker (1939 - 2021). This piece was commissioned by the American Accordionists' Association (2021), and premiered at the AAA Seminars - Dr. William Schimmel, Curator - on July 30th 2021. |

  Video: Jakob Steinkellner (Austria) performing in Vietnam on May 9th, 2023.The Austrian/Vietnamese Music Night will take place at the Grand Concert Hall of the Hoc Vien Am Nhac Quoc Gia Viet Nam (National Academy of Music) in Hanoi, Vietnam on May 13th, 2023 at 8pm. The event will include a variety of music by VNAM Vietnam academy artists, singers and accordionists, including guest accordionist Jakob Steinkellner (Austria - picture above right). The event will include a variety of concerts, workshops, music stories and demonstrations of music from the Middle Ages, Renaissance and Baroque periods, from Hildegard van Bingen to Johan Sebastian Bach, from John Dowland to Dario Castello. | The 2023 Branson Accordion Extravaganza will take place at the Hughes American Family Theater in Branson, Missouri, USA on May 20th, 2023. The concert will feature Kim and Dan Christian as well as a special accordion orchestra of 30 accordionists from the USA and Canada.
