 Vollständiger Fotobericht: 2023MazedonienDas internationale Projekt Weltakkordeontag (WAD) am 6. Mai wird seit seiner Gründung im Jahr 2009 vom mazedonischen Akkordeonistenverband "Ljubiteli na klasichna muzika" (MAA) - Skopje mit verschiedenen spannenden Musikveranstaltungen und erfolgreichen Konzerten im In- und Ausland unterstützt. In diesem Jahr organisierte der mazedonische Verband zum 15. Mal ein feierliches Konzert anlässlich der internationalen Veranstaltung und des Geburtstags unseres Instruments. Das WAD-Konzert fand am 6. Mai im Kammersaal der Philharmonie in Skopje statt, wo eine wunderbare Atmosphäre herrschte. Bei dem Konzert traten renommierte Künstler und Akkordeonschüler aus der Klasse von Prof. Zorica Karakutovska mit Werken von Semionov, Hendl, Grieg, Bete Ilin, Piazzolla usw. auf. Gastgeber der Veranstaltung war der sehr beliebte mazedonische Fernsehmoderator Ognen Janeski, der zusammen mit Laoshi (Professor am Glockenspiel), Zorica Karakutovska am Akkordeon und Aleksandar Kotevski am Cello auch das neapolitanische Lied Santa Lucia vortrug. Der Höhepunkt des Jubiläumskonzerts war die Uraufführung der Komposition "Macedonian Paraphrase" von Bete Ilin für Akkordeonensemble und Schlagzeug. Das Ensemble bestand aus den Akkordeonprofessoren Zorica Karakutovska, Filip Gavrilovski, Filip Petreski, David Velkov und Gjorgje Ciric sowie den Schlagzeugern der Mazedonischen Philharmonie, Atanas Aleksov und Blagoja Antovski. Der Saal war mit einem sehr begeisterten Publikum besetzt, das die Musiker mit wohlverdientem Applaus belohnte. Der Saal bietet einen hochwertigen Veranstaltungsort, den die Künstler voll ausnutzten, und die lang anhaltenden stehenden Ovationen am Ende des Konzerts waren der verdiente Lohn für die Bemühungen aller Künstler und Organisatoren, die am WAD-Konzertprojekt 2023 teilgenommen haben. Beim diesjährigen Konzert hatte die MAA das Privileg, den Präsidenten der Confédération Internationale des Accordéonistes (CIA), Mirco Patarini aus Italien, und Lyu Bin aus China als besondere Gäste begrüßen zu können. Das WAD-Galakonzert hat sich in den vergangenen Jahren und auch 2023 zu einem bedeutenden kulturellen und künstlerischen Ereignis entwickelt, das dank der weltweiten Ausstrahlung im In- und Ausland als eines der prestigeträchtigsten Ereignisse im Monat Mai gilt. In diesem Jahr wird das Konzert im Rahmen der Feierlichkeiten zum Nationalfeiertag am 24. Mai, dem Tag der Heiligen Kyrill und Method, im Fernsehen übertragen. Cyril und Methodius. Derzeit ist er Instrumentallehrer für Akkordeon an der Universität von Auckland, Neuseeland. Ein weiterer besonderer Gast wird die Akkordeonlegende Joey Miskulin (USA) sein. Joey, der 2018 für seine außergewöhnlichen Leistungen mit dem Piano-Akkordeon in die Country Music Hall of Fame aufgenommen wurde und kürzlich mit dem AAA Lifetime Achievement Award ausgezeichnet wurde, begeistert die Zuhörer weiterhin mit seinen "fliegenden Fingern" und seiner Fähigkeit, das Publikum zu begeistern. Sie suchen nach noch mehr Unterhaltung? Mario Tacca, ehemaliger AAA-Champion und AAA Artist in Residence, wird als Solist beim Galakonzert am Freitagabend und zusammen mit der berühmten Sängerin Mary Mancini bei unserem Abendessen am Donnerstagabend auftreten. Mehrere Akkordeon-Orchester sind bereits angekündigt, darunter das Accordion Pops Orchestra unter der Leitung von Al Terzo, das Westmont Philharmonia Accordion Orchestra unter der Leitung von Joanna Darrow und das Busso Festival Orchestra unter der Leitung von Frank Busso Jr. Das diesjährige Jugendorchester wird von Joanna Darrow dirigiert, die ihr ganzes Leben dem Spielen, Unterrichten und der Förderung des Akkordeons gewidmet hat. Sie ist mehrfach mit dem Philadelphia Orchestra aufgetreten und hat über 30 Jahre lang mit ihrem Akkordeonlehrer und Ehemann, dem verstorbenen Stanley Darrow, in ganz Europa gespielt. Die United States Air Force Strolling Strings mit AAA-Präsident Frank Busso Jr. am Akkordeon werden bei unserem Bankett am Samstagabend auftreten.   Wir gratulieren dem in Deutschland lebenden Arseniy Strokovskiy zur Ernennung zum Dozenten an der Hochschule für Musik in Würzburg, wo er eine Vorlesung über Akkordeon-Methodik halten wird.Zuvor hatte Arseniy Strokovskiy an der Hochschule für Musik ein Meisterklassendiplom und einen Master of Music in Performance erworben. Im Jahr 2016 gründeten Arseniy Strokovskiy und der Multisaxophonist Ivan Dyma das einzigartige Duo SaxAkkord. Obwohl nur zwei Musiker auf der Bühne stehen, erklingen sechs verschiedene Instrumente: Akkordeon, Sopransaxophon, Altsaxophon, Tenorsaxophon, Baritonsaxophon und Klavier. Das Debütalbum des SaxAkkord-Duos "Metamorphoses" wurde 2017 veröffentlicht. Arseniy Strokovskiy ist ein Preisträger von: 53. Internationaler Akkordeonwettbewerb, Klingenthal, Deutschland; 23. Internationaler Akkordeonwettbewerb "Arrasate Hiria", Arrasate-Mondragon, Spanien; 68. Internationaler Wettbewerb Coupe Mondiale für Akkordeonsolisten, Turku, Finnland; 40. Internationaler Castelfidardo-Akkordeonpreis für Solisten und Ensemble. |

 Video: Claude Thomain führt seine Komposition "L'enfant Démon" bei CNIMA auf.Der Komponist, Dirigent, Akkordeonist und CNIMA-Lehrer Claude Thomain ist diese Woche in Frankreich verstorben. CNIMA schrieb: "Wir würdigen den Musiker, Komponisten, Dirigenten, aber auch den außergewöhnlichen Menschen, der er war. Freundlich, bescheiden, diskret, großzügig, sensibel und humorvoll. Vielen Dank, Claude, für alles, was du der Welt des Akkordeons gebracht hast, für diese großartigen und schönen unvergesslichen Momente, die wir im CNIMA erlebt haben, und für deine außergewöhnlichen Konzerte, die uns vor Rührung zu Tränen gerührt haben. Im Namen des Akkordeons, der Akkordeonisten und aller Musiker danke ich dir. Du wirst für immer in unseren Gedanken und Herzen sein. Die schönen Töne deiner Kompositionen, in denen Melodie und Harmonie vom feinsten sind, werden weiterhin in der CNIMA und in der Welt widerhallen." Claude war auch viele Jahre lang Dirigent des Orchestre d'Accordéons de Savoie (Akkordeon-Orchester Savoyen). Seine Beerdigung fand am 12. Mai 2023 in der St. Martinskirche in Épieds, Hauts-de-France, Frankreich, statt. |

Tonino and his sister Daniela began as children, "helping" in the family Alessandrini manufacturing business and have continued all their lives (picture right). Lithuania: Composer Bete Ilin celebrated World Accordion Day with the Kaunas State Philharmonic, sharing the stage with colleague Laimonas Salijus who performed a premiere by composer Arvydas Malcys. Musicians of the VDU Kamerinis orkestras / VMU Chamber orchestra and Maestro Vytautas Lukocius performing Bete Ilin’s “The New Tomorrow” for the very first time in Lithuania and “Rhapsody in Blue” by George Gershwin (picture left).  The Akkordeongruppe Münstertal e.V. concert orchestra conducted by Silke D'Inka took part in the district meeting for accordion orchestra in the DHV district "Breisgau" on May 7th, 2023.The event saw 11 accordion orchestras and ensembles with over 200 active players participating in these rankings in different categories, judged by Uta Borho, stellv. BW State Director and Johannes Baumann, BW State Director. The Akkordeongruppe Münstertal e.V. concert orchestra took part in the "Adult Orchestra Higher Level" category with the pieces "Werziade IV" by Fritz Dobler and "Grlica" by Stevan Hristic. With a “fantastic 46 points” and the high score "outstanding", the concert orchestra was awarded “District Champion for the 5th time for its performance (winning previously in 2011, 2015, 2017 and 2019). The video above is the new commission of the American Accordionists' Association (AAA) composed by Will Holshouser, and this was the first AAA commission to be performed on a world tour. "Redbud Winter" is performed by Eric Vloeimans, trumpet and Will Holshouser, accordionist and composer. “Redbud Winter”: a cold snap in early spring when the redbud trees begin to blossom (expression used in Tennessee). In memoriam Cynthia Shoemaker (1939 - 2021). This piece was commissioned by the American Accordionists' Association (2021), and premiered at the AAA Seminars - Dr. William Schimmel, Curator - on July 30th 2021. |

  Video: Jakob Steinkellner (Austria) performing in Vietnam on May 9th, 2023.The Austrian/Vietnamese Music Night will take place at the Grand Concert Hall of the Hoc Vien Am Nhac Quoc Gia Viet Nam (National Academy of Music) in Hanoi, Vietnam on May 13th, 2023 at 8pm. The event will include a variety of music by VNAM Vietnam academy artists, singers and accordionists, including guest accordionist Jakob Steinkellner (Austria - picture above right).
