| US Celtic band Solas, formed in 1996, is widely regarded as one of the most exciting and influential Irish ensembles around today. The Solas line-up is Seamus Egan - flute, tenor banjo, mandolin, whistle, guitar and bodhran, Winifred Horan fiddle, Mick McAuley - accordion and concertina, Eamon McElholm - guitar and keyboards, and Deirdre Scanlan – vocals.
