If you would like to host a concert, please contact: Martin Frey (picture right) at: akkdino@yetnet.ch Mobile: +41-79-239 77 94 Current concert schedule is: 19th November, Ravensburg, Germany, Accordion Orchestra Ravensburg 21st or 24th November, Urnaesch (near St. Gallen), Switzerland, Church of Urnaesch 22nd November, Ebikon near Lucerne, Switzerland, Accordion Orchestra Ebikon 24th November Orbe (French part near Lausanne), Switzerland, Accordion Club of 100 The Timbre Russian Accordion Group was founded in Moscow in 1982 with five musicians still in the group until today: Paul Zaytsev, Viacheslav Stoma, Alexey Kochurov, Michail Dmitrokopulo, Viacheslav Kuzminskiy (Artistic Director from 1991). This is the only professional group in Russia, which plays the unique instruments made by the Russian engineer Nikolai Kosorukov and called timbre accordions. These instruments don’t have any equivalent in the world. Their sound quality closely resembles that of symphonic wind instruments made of brass or wood so they were called “oboe”, “clarinet”, “French horn” and “tuba”. The traditional multitimbral accordion is also used in the Group. The Timbre Russian Accordion Group has made many CD's, radio and TV appearances and concerts in many parts of the European continent and in 2008 were granted the Title of Honoured Artist of Russia by President Putin.
