Renzo Ruggieri’s version of ‘A Christmas Carol’, Ancona – Italy

Canto Di Natale"If I'm here, Ebenezer Scrooge, it is to warn you that you still have a chance and a hope to save you".

‘Canto di Natale’ is a re-telling of Charles Dickens’ 1843 famous novel ‘A Christmas Carol’, with music composed and played by accordionist Renzo Ruggieri and guitarist Mauro De Federicis, and spoken text by the actor Edoardo Nevola. It tells the story of the miser Scrooge on Christmas Eve who meets the three ghosts of the past, present and future. The CD is available from major digital stores.

The novelist Charles Dickens (1812-70), one of the most important figures in English literature, was also a keen amateur accordion player.
