 The 66th CMA Trophée Mondial was held in Portimao Portugal from the 26th September – 1st October 2016 organised by Goncalo Pescada. The CMA President Frédéric Deschamps was delighted to welcome contestants from more than 20 countries in the various categories of competition which included National Trophy Categories for under 17, under 15, under 12 and under 10 years of age.The Senior Classique category was won by Vitaly Kondratenko (Russia), picture above, who was very narrowly ahead of Junhao Mao (China) picture left, in 2nd place. Other Trophée Mondial winners were : Senior Variety - Anatoli Taran (Belarus) Junior Classic - Radu Ratoi (Moldavia) Junior Variety - Radu Ratoi (Moldavia) Masters - Dusan Ceganjac (Serbia) World Music - The Pillers Quartet (Austria) The National Trophy winners were : 18 & Under - Nikita Alymov (Russia) 15 & Under - Zhang Shuo (China) 12 & Under - Leith Del Campo (France) 10 & Under - Hugo Madeira (Portugal) The International jury included many esteemed teachers (alphabetical order): Patricia Bartell, Miljan Bjeletic, Stéphane Chapuis, Eugenia Cherkazova, Marco Cinaglia, Alexander Dmitriev, Hermenegildo Guerreiro, Manabu Hiyama, Zbigniew Ignaczevvski, Gerry Kelly, Graham Laurie, Grayson Masefield, Heather Masefield, Sergiu Mirzac, Jacques Mornet, Andreas Nebl, Vladimir Orlov, Goncalo Pescada, Zoran Rakic, Renzo Ruggieri, Oleg Sharov.
