Europäisches Akkordeon Orchester Festival .Die Tschechische Akkordeon Assoziation und das Konzert-und Reisebüro CTA Prag veranstalten den internationalen Wettbewerb der Akkordeonorchester im Rahmen des 8. Europäischen Akkordeon-Festivals in Prag in der Stadthalle vom 29. Mai - 1. Juni 2014. Alle nicht-professionellen Akkordeonorchesters aus jedem Land können daran teilnehmen. Pavel Švarc ist der Festival -Manager und Ladislav Horák ( Bild links ) der Festspielpräsident t. Kategorien: I. Junior Akkordeon Orchester Orchester mit 12 Musikern und mehr (mindestens 70 % der Mitglieder müssen unter 16 Jahren sein) mit mindestens 10 Akkordeons , Wahl -Programm, maximal 12 Minuten. II . Klassische und moderne Musik Orchester von 12 Musikern und mehr , ohne Altersbegrenzung, mit anderen Instrumenten neben mindestens 10 Akkordeons. Eigene Wahl-Programm, mit mindestens einer Original Arbeit von maximal 15 Minuten. III. Unterhaltungsmusik Orchester von 12 oder mehr Mitgliedernohne Altersbegrenzung, entweder hauptsächlich aus Akkordeons und anderen Instrumenten (wo das Akkordeon überwiegt ). Am 28. November fand das Seminar in der Großen Halle des republikanischen Lyceums " Bauman " , Yoshkar -Ola und am 29. November in der Großen Halle des Tscheboksary Musikhochschulenach Pavlov Namen, statt. Die Organisatoren der Veranstaltung waren das Bildungszentrum der Mari - El Republik " Kamerton " und Tscheboksary Musical College nach Pavlov benannt. mit Unterstützung von Roland Russland, sowie der aktiven Beteiligung der „Honored Worker of Culture of Mari - El Republic“ Natalia Mitenkina statt. Nach dem Seminar gab es ein Konzert der Preisträger von nationalen und internationalen Wettbewerben und des " Roland V-Accordion Festivals 2013 " Stanislav Malyshev . Das Konzert beinhaltete die Sieger des Junior Roland V- Akkordeon- Wettbewerbes in der Kategorie " Schule" Konstantin Ryabov ( Yoshkar -Ola ) . Die Veranstaltung stieß auf großes Interesse bei der lokalen Presse und Fernsehen und erhielt eine lebhafte Reaktion von Lehrern und Studenten. |

  Der 2012 Coupe Mondiale Gewinner Xu Xiaonan (Preisträger vieler internationaler Wettbewerbe, Bild links) hat die Weltpremiere von "Zheng Zai" des spanischen Komponisten, Akkordeonisten und Historikers, Gorka Hermosa (Bild rechts) uraufgeführt.Die Weltpremiere fand in der Recital Hall der Central Conservatory of Music in Peking statt und war ein wichtiger Teil des Projekts "BOB" (Best of Best), ein chinesisches nationales Projekt für den Aufbau von außergewöhnlichen Künstlern. Gorka Hermosa kommentierte: "Ich fühle mich sehr glücklich, eine Premiere eines meiner neuen Kompositionen für ein so wichtiges Ereignis zu haben ... und vor allem von einem der wichtigsten, jungen chinesischen Akkordeonisten von heute vorgeführt zu sehen: Xu Xiaonan ".  Jenny Neal, Essex / Colchester, eine der erfolgreichsten Dirigenten des britischen Akkordeon-Orchesters, verstarb an Krebs am 5. Dezember.Jenny begann mit dem Akkordeonspiel im Alter von 12, hatte Unterricht am britischen College für Akkordeonisten mit Jerry Mayes und gewann bald Preise in den NAO Wettbewerben. Wurde zu einem bekannten Akkordeon Lehrer und NAO Festivalveranstalter. Als die lokale Genossenschaft an Jenny herantrat mit der Bitte eine Akkordeon -Gruppe zu organisieren und zu lehren, war dies der Beginn einer lebenslangen Leidenschaft für die Leitung von Akkordeon -Bands. Bekannt als " Jenny Akkordeonistin, waren ihre verschiedenen Bands sehr erfolgreich in Großbritannien und den NAO Wettbewerben in den 1970er und 80er Jahren und führten schließlich auf viele Konzerttouren in europäischen Städten. Jenny Neal war verheiratet und hat drei Söhne. Auch ihre Schwester Elaine Beecham ist eine gut bekannte und sehr erfolgreiche Akkordeon-Orchester -Direktorin. | The Timbre Russian Accordion Group report a very successful tour to: - Hamburg, Germany - culture and economic exchange between St. Petersburg – and Hamburg - Ravensburg, Germany - Accordion orchestra Ravensburg 70 anniversary - Ebikon near Lucerne, German part of Switzerland - accordion orchestra Ebikon - Orbe 80km from Geneva, French part of Switzerland. Tour organiser Martin Frey wrote that the success of the tour was such, that many more clubs and associations have asked to host a concert when the groups tours next year.  Petar Maric (laureate of many international competitions) has just finished some concerts and master classes in Portugal and a successful master class this summer in Samobor, Croatia. This has led to more invitations, and he will return again to the academy of Peniche, Portugal, in March 2014 to continue to work with students from all over the country.  The East Antrim Accordion School, founded by Clyde Johnston and based in Larne, a seaport in County Antrim, Northern Ireland, offers accordion lessons to all ages. The school reports, that over 300 students have now successfully completed British College of Accordionists (BCA) examinations and are promoting the a long record of successes in both NAO competitions and the EAAS by students of the school.  Danish Group ARC were nominated for the 2013 TV2 Danish Music Awards which were held on the 9th November. The trio combines the musical talents of Swedish singer Josefine Cronholm, Swedish bass player Thommy Andersson and Italian piano and bandoneón player Paolo Russo. The three musicians, all based in Copenhagen, met in the autumn of 2011 to form ARC. The trio's repertoire, consisting entirely of original music. |

| The Accordions Worldwide news for the week ending December 10th 1999 included an article discussing the First International Accordionists' Meeting that took place in Slovakia, which was a very successful event. Is this accordion event in Slovakia still taking place? First International Meeting of Accordionists – Slovakia Contributed by Holda Paoletti-Kampl The First International Accordionists' Meeting took place from November 17th to 21st in Poprad, at the foot of the Tatra mountains in Slovakia organized by Dr. Viera Grohova, director of the Poprad School. The event included a competition for young accordionists (under 18), three seminars and four evening concerts. The competition jury consisted of Nicolai Kravtsov (Russia), Paolo Picchio (Italy), Stefan Eperjesi (Slovakia), Klaudiusz Baran (Poland) and Robert Tatar (Slovakia). Winners include: Zuzana Vikarska (Poprad), Ludowika Czyzydlo (Poland) and Dmitri Belechov (Russia). Seminars were held by Nicolai Kravtsov, who introduced his personal model of accordion featuring lozenge-shaped buttons representing a beehive, and by Paolo Picchio, who discussed the problems of ornamentation in Domenico Scarlatti's Sonatas and the works of Astor Piazzolla. The opening concert featured the Kosice Accordion Orchestra (conducted by Vladimir Cuchran). The next two days included a performance by the duo Klaudiusz Baran (accordion) & Malvina Banas (cello) and a concert featuring students of the St. Petersburg Academy. The final evening was devoted entirely to the competition winners. |

  Stockport Accordion Club members Rob Howard and John Jones will be entertaining at the Stockport Air Raid Shelters on December 9th, 12th and 16th. Each evening involves a guided tour at 7pm, followed by wine, mince pies, war songs and carols. During the wartime Manchester Blitz, which began on December 22nd 1940, 7,000 people each night sought refuge in the Stockport Air Raid Shelters.
