 The 2023 Big Squeeze Youth Accordion Championships will be hosted by Texas Folklife on May 13th, 2023 at 1pm, at the Texas Spirit Theatre in the Bullock Museum, Austin, Texas, USA.The championship round of the 17th annual statewide Big Squeeze Youth Accordion Contest features talented young accordion players from across Texas. The event is free and open to the public. The event will also feature performances from Josh Baca & the Hot Tamales, fronted by Los Texmaniacs’ Grammy-nominated accordionist Josh Baca, and North Texas accordion teacher and musician Elena Fainshtein (picture right).
