For many years Beniamino Bugiolacchi has been committed in looking after the image of the accordion. He has a deep knowledge of all national accordion productions and AWW had the pleasure and permission to publish his documentation in 2010 - Chronology of Italian Accordions

Already at the young age of 19, in 1963, he made his first approach with the accordion at the occasion of the first centenary of the founding of the Italian accordion industry and then devoted a lifetime promoting the instrument.

It was with personal pride that he was able to dedicate himself to the Museum Castelfidardo project, of which he was co-founder and director for 33 years. Another highly important moment was in 1984: for the first time, thanks to the commitment of the Minister of Education and twelve directors of the major Italian conservatories, a chair of classical accordion was established at the Rossini Conservatory in Pesaro and later in a number of musically-oriented secondary schools.

Numerous international events and exhibitions lead him to Geilo/Oslo, Tokyo, Frankfurt, Los Angeles, Sao Paulo in Brazil, Shanghai, Sidney, London, Paris - always as a promoter of the accordion, presenting the city of Castelfidardo and its musical instrument manufacturers.

Numerous appearances on TV, conferences for important institutions such as the ICE (Institute for Foreign Trade) and publications and articles on the accordion in specialised magazines.

May 2023 will mark the twentieth anniversary of the twinning between two important cities known throughout the world for their accordion production: Castelfidardo and Klingenthal (in 2003 the initiators included Beniamino and Aldo Belmonti with the support of the then Mayor Tersilio Marotta and the then Deputy Mayor Mirco Soprani).

Thanks to Beniamino Bugiolacchi for the enthusiasm and effort making the accordion part of his travels, stories and collaborations, to integrate the instruments on TV, films, shows, documentaries, conservatories, lectures, exhibitions and numerous publications such as in his book "Artigiani del suono".

In 2012 he was awarded the 'Sigillo' as a meritorious citizen by the municipality of Castelfidardo.
