 Chicago Duo Marek Kalinowski (accordion) & Peter Herz (violin) provided a free concert last week in honour of all victims of the Covid-19 pandemic. The popular duo played in Illinois with a guest vocalist much to the delight of the neighbourhood who brought along their deck chairs and maintained physical distancing for an evening of entertainment. The duo will be guests at the upcoming Milwaukee Accordion Club meeting planned for June 22nd in Franklin, WI (subject to Covid-19 restrictions). The aim of the Milwaukee club is to stimulate a positive attitude toward the performance of music on the accordion by strengthening relationships with fellow musicians, expanding knowledge of the accordion and accordion playing, and by developing various musical programs to acquaint the general public with the education and entertainment values of the accordion.
