‘Wir sind daheim’ Opera Premiere, Mainz – Germanyby Holda Paoletti-Kampl |
 Accordionist Mirjana Petercol has been involved with the production of ‘Wir sind daheim’, a contemporary chamber opera, with music by Moritz Eggert, to be premiered in the hall at the Musikhochschule, Mainz, on June 3rd, 7.30pm. Other performances are on June 5th, 6th, and 17th, all at 7.30pm. The MD is Tungsten Koloseus. Entry is free.The work is arranged for 4 classical singers and a ‘modern’ instrumental ensemble: electric bass, electric guitar, electric violin, drums, keyboard and accordion. The text, by Helmut Krausser, is a mixture of absurd and black humor, and is challenging for both cast and musicians. |
